no they weren't fanmade, they were shown until the June 2009 rebrand. they were dropped because people thought the idents looked unprofessional and amateurish, according to Wikipedia. :)
I didn't really have any sense of like nor dislike for them. And that's the problem. Not a bad concept, but somehow a very uninspiring end product. Despite lavish production values. Part of me is glad to see the 90's package return, but another part of me is concerned that it signifies BBC Two hitting a wall. BBC Two is heading backwards, and I can't yet decide whether that's a good or a bad thing.
I've hated these Window on the world 2's, it just looks like that the 2 has been left forgotten in most of them and I also find them dull and boring. I'm glad that they've been retired and have been replaced with the old 1991-2001 2's idents.
Some of these are terrible. They really over egged the tent idents and I think the spray paint ones are pointless. I quite like the Christmas ones though.
Very poor. Only the Chase ident had something about it so naturally it got ditched first. Worst ident package BBC2 have had since the nineties. Goodbye and good riddance!
