Mixing & Mastering (The Importance of Sound Quality) :: Producer's 20/20 Vision

- Mixing & Mastering is key to a professional sound with your music and songs. The sound has to be EQ'd properly and sound just as good as the song that's played before it and after it. I interview producer Hi Stakes to see what the important aspects are regarding the sound for Spotify, Apple, Tidal, etc. He explains the compression and how each platform varies in sound.
The Producer 20/20 Vision series started on July 15th (for 30 days) to share music industry knowledge with Hip Hop music producers. Every morning, I post a short, concise video on my IGTV feed at @RapCoalition on a different topic to help music producers up their game. The goal is to offer short bursts of information to get producers researching more information online to help grow their careers successfully. The Topics will include the business side of production such as sample clearance, studio etiquette, selling beats, leasing beats, production deals, publishing, performance royalties, producer agreements, choosing an entertainment lawyer, choosing a manager, building a brand, copyrights, split sheets, placements, scoring tv/films, theme songs/music for podcasts, publishing deals, producer tags, getting paid, taxes, self promotion, giving away free beats, beatmaker vs producer, as well as interviews with major producers about how they got started.
The 20/20 Vision for Producers is a highly anticipated follow up to my successful 20/20 Vision series for rappers that appeared in January. There is a lot of misinformation in this industry. Try to get advice from the folks who have had success and who are still actively creating success for other people--currently!! Research everything. Decide what success means for you and put together your plan to get there. Then follow the plan.

I'm just an industry geek trying to help rappers with a little free information and general advice. It is up to YOU--yes, your career is magically YOUR responsibility, to do the research to see which tactics will benefit your own career. I'm just sharing what works for me and my clients. There is more than enough information on this RUclips channel to help a rapper make money, but I suggest you do MORE research and see how others succeed in this industry.
