This is a more Mario-y moveset than any of the existing Mario characters in Smash
Probably because most of the Mario fighters come from either 64 or Melee, when they weren't too concerned about making as many references as possible in characters' movesets
@@ToaderTheToad That’s true. Some of the newer Mario series fighters, like Bowser Jr. and and Piranha Plant, do have loads of references to the source material

I just love this mod. It's almost perfect (dash attack, side B and FSmash can be changed, but they're not the worst of the worst)
Nah, side B is really cool, I like the idea of it as a movement tool, also I believe it was showcased wrong here, it also has a grounded version that's sort of like a long jump iirc

Honestly, it's really surprising that such simple nintendo characters and enimes can EASILY be fighters, like Koopa Troopa, for example!
It surprises me that I have yet to see Koopa Troopa appear in some kind of major Smash project, since Piranha Plant is in Ultimate and Goomba is in the fan game Super Smash Bros. Crusade. I would have thought Koopa Troopa would have been the choice to be a Smash Bros. fighter since they walk on two legs, which I would imagine being easer to make a Smash Bros. moveset for.

I never understood why Nintendo has always been so inconsistent between treating Toad as a Main Character AND a Minor Character in the Super Mario Franchise!

Even if some animations and audio could be better (his all-star KO voice for example), Its still a very solid mod overall. Props to the creators!

These Smash Mods are getting better each time! First it was Goku, now it’s Toad! This makes me have hope for a Waluigi Smash Mod in the future… hopefully, of course.

Toad finally gets out of Princess Peach's grasp, and is no longer gonna defend her by getting himself hit by her opponents. He's definitely not a weakling, and is pretty durable given how the Toad's get hit by cannonballs from Bowser as well as being trapped inside of things. I honestly think that the Toad's are the punching bags of the Super Mario franchise.🍄

This is awesome! Toad’s moveset looks pretty fitting for his character! I have mods but haven’t had any like this that actually change moveset. I’d love to use ones like this offline with a friend.

this is the first smash mod I've seen that actually has effort put into it and isn't just a reskin of an existing character! good job to whoever made this! :D

It's very shocking how Toad is modded so well that he actually looks like he's an official character, this would some incredibly nice work.
This looks so cool! I'm surprised Toad isn't playable officially, as it feels like someone from the Mario universe is missing without Toad (and Waluigi, of course). This moveset is so creative and interesting. The only thing I don't really like about this mod is that you have to sacrifice Villager, since I like the Animal Crossing games and also use Villager in Smash Bros.. But other than that, I really like this!
This is a fantastic good mod! I'm very impressed how almost authentic it looks.
This mod goes so hard with sounds that change when using the same move, animation for everything, great imagination for moves and an overall balanced character.

Oh my gosh Toad is finally fed up he wants to be in smash and show everyone what he can do it's impressive to see him actually fight for the first time the only Toad I see is when you play as Peach and then disappears somewhere tho idk where he goes lol but seeing him not with Peach and actually being a playable character would be a dream come true even with Toadette and Toadworth is in it to only if they can actually be in it 😭

I think Toad’s clapping animation should be the one from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
Having Mario, Luigi, Toad, AND Princess Toadstool (Peach) fight on the Subcon stage would have been really cool, as you can play as any of them in that game. I guess a mod would have to do. What would have been cool is if every item he pulls up is a reference to Wario's Woods and Mario Party!
Toad seems like if could have some sort of legitimate placement if the taunts were sped up (to fit the quick versions of old taunts to go with ultimate's fast pace) and if the animations were smoothen out, but it still is a good mod
After years of waiting and being denied again and again, he can get in Super Smash Bros Ultimate with these new modding techniques...
