Dear Lex, You probably already figured it out. But when kitty's behavior changes like that there is a reason. It could be physical like sickness or injury. Hes not scared of him, he came out and got treats & pets . As lex said, he yelled when he got bit bc he just reacted. The way i took that is he yelled in suprise and pain, like "ahh, FUCK!", not he stood there and yelled at the cat. Yellimg in suprise is human & normal. Mt cat Honeybunny gets the superzoomies sometimes & pounces on my bare feet/ankles and sometimes i grt a claw or tooth & it hurts, so in reaction i yell "OWW!" or "Bunny!!!" My cat will hear the loud yell and scamper away... and five minutes later will be back around me, and will come sleep with me at night like she always does. saw your vid on dodo and I usually don't watch them... glad I did. That kitty is so cute! I am glad you are responsible and take care of him. I moved into my house in July 2021 here in NW Ohio and I saw on my cameras a little grey stray cat that was coming around in the middle of the night. It (I think it is a female) would rub its scent on my bushes by my porch steps... but I never had food out for it at first. I kept seeing it coming around and that is when I realized it wasn't someone's cat, it didn't have anyone, it was a stray. So I went to Meijer and bought a little water bowl and food dish. It has been coming around for over 2 years now.... around 5pm or so. Always alone and the sad part is that it won't meow. I have never heard it mew. This past winter i ordered a little heated cat house from Amazon. I plugged it in and laid a few treats on it. Even when it was cold the poor thing wouldn't use it.. One day, when I seen it outside waiting under its favorite bush, I filled its food and water, was talking to it like i normally do, and then I showed it the treat bag. It does recognize those are good, lol. So I put a few in my hand and i laid them inside the cat house and plugged it back in (unplugged it cause it wasn't getting used). I went back inside. Later that day, I looked out the front door window, didn't see the cat, so sometime I knock once or twice and if it is close by (sitting under a tree or something) it will come to the porch, but this time it came from out of its little house. I would love to bring it inside but A) I would want to take it to a vet first, B) I have a huge phobia about insects and infestations. I'd have to make sure it was washed.... so I am at a loss. I am making progress though, although it watches me with hawk eyes, it no longer retreats when I come out to fill its dish. It will also take refuge under the bush when I am outside and it will take 40 winks. It probably realizes that I would protect it form predators. I'll keep at it and hopefully, like you and Cinnabon, I'll have a 'breakthrough' moment.
In otherwise well-behaved cats, this is often just a sign of over excitement. He may have just been anticipating a walk or something. My kitty Myles is a 15-lb buff tabby who stays outdoors most of the time. When I miss the mark and he gets me, it hurts, I yell, and it startles him, too.
I have an old Tom we rescued who would sometimes swat at our legs if we walked by too fast. He'd be told it was a no no, and eventually stopped. If he's done this before no worry, but if it's newer behavior take him to the vet, it can be a sign of tumors.
@Kashmerethecat It is normal if they've always done this, it's only an issue if it's a sudden change in behavior or personality. Since Bon has behaved this way before during tick season, then it's not an issue.

Have a Veterinarian check him out. He did get into a fight or like said not happy he can't get in the bed. Animals are like us they have bad days.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bring him to the vet they will apply a medicine that would kill all the ticks and fleas, if you don't the ticks and fleas might transfer to you regardless if you allow him on the bed or not and their bites are annoyingly itchy.
Oh my! Cinnie got grounded?! Say it ain't so! Maybe he just got a case of the "crazies" , usually occurs at night but I guess it can happen in the daytime!
I think you took it too personally, little Bonbon probably was just in a mood. I can understand why you would yell a little, you were probably confused when it happened. He's the bestest boy and even bestest boys have bad days. My Ziggy gives me love bites when Im not petting him the way he wants me to
Do you treat him monthly with Revolution, Frontline or one of the flea and tick preventatives at the vet? My cat spends the spring and summer in the backyard that is enclosed so she can’t get out and since treating her monthly year round we haven’t had any fleas or ticks. I became diligent with it after my dog I got as a rescue was found on the streets of Tijuana and brought to the US. She was starved, full of fleas and ticks etc and upon treating and getting her better, one day her back legs quit working and became paralyzed. The vet did tests but they didn’t know what was causing it except when a blood panel done came back identifying a certain type of tick that was known to affect some animals this way. She was given the right meds and slowly she got the use of her legs back. So it’s a good idea to treat them for fleas and ticks every month, even if they don’t go outside as they can be brought in by people on their body or shoes. The ticks can cause all sorts of health issues in them as much as it does in us. It might just be that you will have to examine him every day when he comes back in. Between looking him over and giving him the preventative he should be ok (unless there’s some type of tick resistant in your area. I would talk to your vet about a plan. And PLEASE everyone, do not buy ANY, especially Hartz over the counter flea and tick products. They are unregulated and can contain dangerous chemicals in amounts that have killed cats and dogs or left them with permanent neurological damage in huge numbers. Only use and buy prescription only treatments from your vet. It’s not a scam by vets to charge you a more expensive product!! The cheaper junk over the counter won’t save you money when you have thousands in medical bills later or you lose your fur baby!
My guess is that something happened outside and he was stressed out. Once my son bitted me when I got home from visiting a hospital. Bit me really hard. And he repeated it after a few days when I blew up soap bubbles. Then I saw a bird in his catio, staring at him. His reaction was really strange, pain and making sounds like a goat, really, like a goat. Turns out that my next door neighbor had a bird feeder and the mean monsters were eating there and resting bulling my son. Talked to her and she removed the bird feeder. No more birds, no more bittings.
Not necessarily a sign of dominance. Lex, all the words, he was trying to tell you something. He needed you for something, and you weren't getting it. Something he needed your help with, sounds like. Could have been that he ran into a pile of ticks. Not saying that it was, but more likely a sign of distress and needing you to do something for him. If your description of the event is accurate, and knowing the Bon. He wouldn't HURT you', he NEEDED YOU. That said, anytime your little love actually BITES YOU like that and draws blood, (if he did), along with"the OW! and scolding kindly, and NO, take a little of the blood and wipe it on his nose/lips - so he knows he bit too hard. He probably didn't mean to, he just really needed you. ' It is like babies, and the expression "no language but a cry". He is telling you the best he can that something happened, was wrong. Keep an eye out for a possible bee sting, or snake bite, just to be on the safe side.

Is there something the vet can give him transdermally or a monthly med to keep the ticks away? Theres one med I forgot the name where once a month you squeeze the liquid med on the back of the cat’s neck as a preventative measure. Then Cinnabon will be able to sleep with you at night. Right now, I don’t think he understands and his feelings are hurt. Check with your vet.❤️🐈
Yes he’s probably feeling bad or maybe a toothache. If he were mine I wouldn’t take a chance I would take him to the vet. I took my lil dog if anything didn’t seem right. The vet can help with his tic problems. As he gets older he will need more care.
My cat had a visceral reaction her entire life to seeing other cats outside. Once we were outside with her in my arms and she saw a cat and I moved my hand and she suddenly bit down on my finger. I had to get a tetanus shot just in cast.
You can get flea and tic collars for cats and stuff you put on the back of the neck that protects them for around 3 months a dose, then you won’t have to worry they just drop off because of the medication, then Mr cutesy fluffy bum can still sleep with his Daddy and not have these little tantrums!

He eventually got over it, but boy, was I mad!
same with the eye....Just regular cat.... i guess i was staring directly into her eyes, too closely......
Have a Veterinarian check him out. He did get into a fight or like said not happy he can't get in the bed. Animals are like us they have bad days.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good idea! 😻
Or Lex has had someone over. My orange cat is very jealous and he'll attack. Usually the cat or person he's mad about, but sometimes me.
Awww he didnt mean it he just got carried away showing you love ❤❤❤❤❤
Cinny is sorry.
There are fine tooth combs that can find ticks in their fur. You don't have to pull them one by one.
The Bon says: I'm sorry Daddy!
Bring him to the vet they will apply a medicine that would kill all the ticks and fleas, if you don't the ticks and fleas might transfer to you regardless if you allow him on the bed or not and their bites are annoyingly itchy.
Sometimes if cats act out of character, it's because they're not feeling well. I hope that's not a behavior he repeats!
Awww .. Boo looks cute even when upset. What happened Boo? ❤
Ooooo he knows he's been a bad lad!
Oh my! Cinnie got grounded?! Say it ain't so!
Maybe he just got a case of the "crazies" , usually occurs at night but I guess it can happen in the daytime!
My sweetie does it at times when she wants attention. 😢he looks so remorseful.
My cat used his claws on me a little too hard and I hissed at him. He looked at me in shock. That was a week ago, and he has not clawed me since.
speaking his language.
As many ticks that you have there, you can get a tick and flea repellent to put on the cat.
I think you took it too personally, little Bonbon probably was just in a mood. I can understand why you would yell a little, you were probably confused when it happened. He's the bestest boy and even bestest boys have bad days. My Ziggy gives me love bites when Im not petting him the way he wants me to
Consider building or purchasing a catio, a window catio where he can go in and out, or a large chicken coop can work. Many videos online.
Yes can be pain of some sort, ask your vet about it...want to make sure he is ok, cause he loves you!❤
That face of Cinnabon !! LOLLOLLOL 😂
Sometimes they do this because they want food. Please don’t punish him.
It is like babies, and the expression "no language but a cry". He is telling you the best he can that something happened, was wrong. Keep an eye out for a possible bee sting, or snake bite, just to be on the safe side.
Hi sweet friend ! ❤❤
@@Suzi64grad Hi Suze!!!
@@ritasmith9553 My good buddy …hi sweet friend always glad to see you! You are special!😍
@@Suzi64grad I feel like I'm neglecting my friends! I don't mean to. Just trying to keep it together here, and get some things done. Love you, too!
@@ritasmith9553 You never neglect me! I understand we all get busy! You are always kind! 😍
They’re not bites just little nibbles to show affection, animals show it in different ways to us
he's acting like he's not feeling well. are you sure he's okay? he shouldn't be outside. ticks carry lots of uglies.
He's acting like a cat that got spooked at a yelp. He's probably fine.
It's been awhile since I had a cat, but I think there is medication that you can give your cat that gets rid of ticks. It might be just for fleas.😼
Sonic destroyed my box spring.
Kitty!
@@ritasmith9553 My old kitty. He was wild. I loved him just the same. The new kitty is very calm. She is a princess. She may be tricking us. She is very gentle.
@@LeoTheShortGuy You don't have what's his name anymore? I just thought he'd grow into his 'personality'! Sorry, I forgot his name. I hope this new one works out well! SONIC! YES.
@@ritasmith9553 Old kitty was called Sonic . New kitty is Minnie as is Minnie Mouse. My son named both. :)
@@LeoTheShortGuy 😀 What happened with Sonic?
We have ticks so bad in northern Ohio. When my grandson was little he was playing war and doing his war roll. He was covered. He thinks they are spiders so we told him we had to get burs off of him so he wouldn't freak out. Prolly pulled 15 off of him!
❤he not feeling well
Cinnabon is not sorry. You should build an outdoor cat house. A fenced in area just for him.
He already has an outdoor cat house.
Maybe it's a tick reaction???
My cat bites a bit when he gets over stimulated, otherwise he's a lot like little Boo.
❤❤❤.happy always everyone.
Hello there Awie ❤❤❤
My cat had a visceral reaction her entire life to seeing other cats outside. Once we were outside with her in my arms and she saw a cat and I moved my hand and she suddenly bit down on my finger. I had to get a tetanus shot just in cast.
I hope you're joking. You can't punish cats. If they act out it's because there is something wrong.
Ruh roh. 🙀
You can get flea and tic collars for cats and stuff you put on the back of the neck that protects them for around 3 months a dose, then you won’t have to worry they just drop off because of the medication, then Mr cutesy fluffy bum can still sleep with his Daddy and not have these little tantrums!
Aw, that poor baby
It wouldn't be so bad to leave him indoors until tick season is over. I think sleeping with you is his security.
that's interesting......when's tick-season over??
My cat did the same thing to my husband he bit his foot when he got up to feed him. It must be a kitty thing....
