This is the art that is Melanie Martinez. She is possibly the greatest artist of her time, because she was able to do so much for what she needed. She directed, she sang, she starred, she produced, she wrote a whole movie, she made the costumes FOR said movie. She is one of the most underrated visionaries and needs 1000% more recognition.
Mel is an overall gem. She's not only talented but her personality is great as well. She's leaking with creativity and she know how to pour it all out by giving her best.

One thing that I really liked that Melanie said is that “creativity is not just something that you pull out of your a-s”. I’ve never really heard people put it the way that she did. And I can really connect! I only feel creative when I’m alone or confident, and she’s like one of the only people who understands that concept or knows how to put it into words I can understand.
I love how her songs aren’t like the others heartbroken, or finding love it’s actually something different and I love her for that 💓💕

Melanie puts feelings and emotions into her music that people can relate to. She put time (4 years!) into this and spent 7 MILLION dollars on this film, getting the right actors, and working her butt off for this. Songs that covered real deep stuff in the world, which is rare to see today. She writes, dances, and is able to sing. An actual artist that we have, mad respect for her

I tried to hard not to cry while watching this because Melanie Martinez’s albums pulled me through the hardest school years of my life from middle school through highschool, and when K-12 came out, it was so ironic how songs reminisced to what was currently happening in my life (at least some, not all), and it’s where I made the best friendships of my life and going through school with other hard life shit on your mind and all that comes with it. So revisiting this and watching the development really hits me

The fact that Melanie has helped me through my transition (fem to masc), my SH, my ED, my SA, my, anxiety, and my depression while not knowing my existence shows that just talking about a certain topic that’s usually not spoken about can help people feel seen and not feel alone.

I feel like Melanie’s next album should be like, about true love and adulthood and how it’ll be like, it’s either that or like since crybaby is immortal, it should be “the garden of immortals” where all crybaby’s friend are split up in to different areas of the huge garden they’re trapped in, and the only way to get out is by meeting in the middle with your friends and doing some sort of ritual to get out and finally figure out what life basically is. Also her music is so healing, I get super anxious at school so most times I have panic attacks where I’m crying and sometimes I’ll go in the bathroom and scream lyrics to help me feel better especially ones directly about school or just ones that i relate to a lot like Nurses Office or Detention.
