I love this song so much, the lyrics are beautiful. Tony is such a multi-talented muso. This is the sexiest footage of Tony I've ever seen. Wish there were more clips like this....sigh.... ❤
thanks for posting this. it takes me back to my idealistic youth. it's too bad that this song wasn't a bigger hit; interestingly enough, this is the only Babys 45 that I had. still have it, too. just a really pretty song. thanks again.
That would be Michael Corby on the synth. the man who put the Babys together, his vision, his band, until he was stabbed in the back by John Waite and Chrysalis Records.
@The1stBaby wow, cool to actually be exchanging messages with one of the original Babys. I understand the nuances of what you are talking about. I guess the interplay among the two vocalists on Silver Dreams is similiar to what Journey had going on for awhile with Steve Perry and Greg Rollie. Co-leads. Anway, I really enjoy the entire Babys catalogue, i had all the LPs from Broken Hearts through On the Edge. And had Everytime I Think of You on 45 so I basically had them all! :)
The Babys were never the same after Michael Corby was wrongly removed from the band he put together. Broken Heart was their masterpiece never to be equaled!
Noone believes their eyes as Tony Brock plays keys instead of drums even the band had Mike Corby on keys and this song had drums part in the latter half. They really played this song like that while they were active with those 4 members ?
For Jon Waite? Excuse me? There was more than him!!! The Baby's, and that is the reason maybe they didn't succeed, wasn't the music, I still listen, to be honest, he was never the one, as far as I am concerned!! O yeah, most populace, because once they kicked the Corby to the curb, they were no more!!!
Agreed! Once Michael Corby was stabbed in the back by Waite and Chrysalis Records they were never the same. nothing they did after Broken Heart ever came close to that masterpiece!
IM STARTING TO WONDER ALOT OF THINGS....EITHER SOMEBODY HAS A TWIN BROTHER IN THE MUSICAL WORLD OR SOMEBODY HIRED SOMEBODY AD A STANDIN...BECAUSE THIS TWIN THING IS REALLY BUGGING ME...IM NOT COMPLAINING IM JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING ON

Nice memories of 1977.
I don't know why this song popped into my head today - haven't thought about it in decades. Quite beautiful, especially the finish
FANTASTIC.....The babys are just...CLASS..... Thanks guy's...nuff said🏈❤😎!
My favorite song from the babys
Those were the days...
BEAUTIFUL SONG!!!!

What a sensational tune and what a talented man Tony is. A great drummer as well. The man on the synthesizers looks a lot like Steve Porcaro of Toto.

Wow, rare stuff. Love the babys. This is probably the only song John didn't sing lead on.
5 stars.."beautiful"
Love it!
Thank you, brings back memories.:)

it is walt stocker on drums. this was confirmed by tony brock in a recent interview that walt played the drums when the song was performed live..
nice piece of info
Too bad we didn't see more from Brock back then! We can only imagine what could have been.

Wait why was he removed? And your right, they really did have something
I love John Waite's body
John's a little on the thin side .
@@SuperAnimelover100 he always is thin.
@@stephaniekrol9708
So true but to thin i feel .
All of those guys were stone foxes. I'd like this song to be in a movie theme.
I am pretty sure he played for journey for awhile

on drums ? stand in I guess - didn't see Wally Stocker either - but just a really beautiful song.
@The1stBaby ....yes, Waite does sing, but not lead, which was my orginal point. Thanks

They were good. Too bad they're not singing anymore.
