My grandpa would pick lots of black berries and black raspberries, and the black raspberry jam they would make, omg!!! This is why I want to learn to can stuff.
I appreciate your detailed tutorials. I remember as a girl (this is my husbands page😀) my mother canning all of the fruits and veggies from our huge garden and orchard as a child. We no longer have that farm. Now that I am older, I am trying to relearn everything she did. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Grape jelly was the first thing I ever waterbath canned. It and apple jelly are two of my favorites. I’m glad you “went back to the basics” because there are so many people that are fearful of launching out to learn. You made it simple! Thank you so much💖
Girl! That is exactly what I want to do. Canning is so easy! I just want to help people see that and gain confidence. Thank you for your kind words. Apple is my second favorite 😋 Was planning a video on that too.
ToniRenee, this is a very well done video! I think your approach to explaining the instructions in the box was well needed! I feel more people do become confused in this process. I love the easy jelly, but it is great to have for beginers! I am so glad you decided to join the collaboration and I love your approach! THANK YOU!!!
Thanks, Tony 😊 This has been a great collab! I am doing these canning vids with beginners in mind. I wish people could understand how easy canning really is. That’s what is important to me right now.
Thank you going through this process of canning. It is great to see the step by step and all of the tips. I have been canning for a few years but always love to have a good reminder of the method. Thanks for the video.
“Have a good reminder of the method”. YESSS!! That’s a perfectly stated response for experienced canners. We should never be unteachable and we all need reminders sometimes 😆
I made this jelly today and I’m back to thank you for this vid. I hadn’t used Sure Jell before and your detailed explanation of the Sure Jell instructions was such a blessing! I would probably have missed the part in jelly instructions where it says to go to step 2 in the JAM directions. I would have gotten there eventually but you saved my time. Good grief.
Love me some grape jelly! A friend of ours gifts us all the grapes we can use every year. I have not ever used sure jelly. Thanks for the instructions.
Great video. I love grape jelly. Your favorite sandwich is grape jelly and your second favorite is peanut butter and grape jelly. And there is that hot biscuit with grape jelly. Yum! I need to go back and watch some of your videos.
I can remember helping Mom make jams and jellies of all sorts and we sealed all with wax. We never got sick, but I’m like you; now that I know better I wouldn’t use that method today. When my kids were little we had access to lots of free Concord grapes and I can remember some years making 100 pints of jelly to share with the whole family!
Thank you, it looks so much easier watching someone make it. I’m like your grandson, I don’t like peanut butter and jelly either. I think your favorite sandwich might be a grilled cheese. Mine is a Rueben. Can’t wait to try this canning recipe
Thank you! My two youngest have peanut sensitivities, and I’m convinced it’s because of all the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I ate when I was pregnant with them. (It’s my #1 favorite!)
Love grape jelly. So easy to make too. My Mom & Grandmothers also used to put wax on their jelly, I don't. Thanks for sharing your jelly with us. Blessings.
I had some nostalgia watching this! My old house had wild Concord grapes and I made grape jelly every year until I moved! I didn’t even think to make it with grape juice! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I make more Jam than jelly. I have made dandelion, violet and rose hip jelly. I love that I can forage all three of them. I'm with you, wide mouth jars are easiest to fill, empty and wash.
Thank you for making from juice! I just made my first batch ever of grape jelly but from our local seedless table grapes yummmy! Not the traditional dark color but more of a lilac color but still so goood!
Was looking forward to seeing how you make grape jam from juice. My husband will only eat grape jelly. Def gonna try this, but with low sugar pectin because he's diabetic. Thanks!
I love grape jelly!! I’ll be doing a low sugar jelly, but I enjoyed your tutorial. I’m new to your channel, so I’ll be binge watching your videos real soon!! Thanks for joining the collaboration!! 😊
Thank you very much for the videos you create. I've watched the canning for beginniers and now this one. I'm looking to make some peach jam from the peaches from our tree. I know the skins and pits need to be removed. My question is on low-sugar. I found a low or no sugar needed pectin from Ball-RealFruit Pectin. Have you used this before and do you have any advice on low-sugar?
Hello my name is Viola. New subscriber. I enjoyed your video. This was the simplest jam making video that I have seen. I definitely have to try this. I have never made jam before. Thank you for your step by step instructions. Blessings.
Finally grape!! My favorite! So question…does it make a difference if it’s 100% juice no sugar added but the brand you buy has mixed it with apple or other juice? I made this mistake once and it didn’t turn out. I wondered if it was because I didn’t realize the juice I bought wasn’t 100% grape and was mixed with apple to become a cheaper product.
Oh, I don’t know. I wouldn’t think so. I’ve heard of others using mixed juices. I’m sorry I don’t have an answer. I did make sure to use Welch’s. Just my preference.
Do you have a recipe for sugar free grape jelly? Our daughter is a type 1 diabetic and I wanted to ask about using a different sugar as in sweet leaf or Splenda?
I don’t know why it wouldn’t be. I actually used regular Welch’s grape juice. It says…no added sugar. I checked the label. There is natural sugar from the grapes, but none added.
Hello I'm super new to canning. My husband wants me to learn how to can fruit and maybe make pasta sauce. Can I just use a large pasta pot for canning? I also have a metal wire rack I can set in to bottom
Absolutely; for water bath canning. Anything will work as long as you have a rack or towel to keep your jars from sitting directly on the bottom of the pot. You’re good to go 😉
@@ToniReneeAtHome ok great can I buy the can lifter at Walmart? I was going to get my jars there. And r there different types of pectin for different canning jobs?? My husband wants me to do a jam or jelly with the fruit and also maybe some pasta sauces and I'm going to also be doing maybe some pickles because we have a small garden in the backyard

I love grape everything too! I love peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches! But my favorite jams of all are raspberry and orange marmalade!
Yes! I love orange marmalade too. I only cook with it, though 😂 I use it in stir fries 😋

This was fabulous! I am saving this video for future canning. You are an excellent teacher. I am in my 60s and have never made jam or Jelly. Hugs ❤️
Awwww! Thanks 😊 I’m here to help
I love grape jelly, I will have to make this recipe once I start canning!
Thanks for doing it with a bottle juice. I also remember my grandmother putting wax on top of jam.
This looks soooooooo easy. I'll have to try this with my granddaughter this summer.

My husband is a huge fan of grape jelly so for him I will make this and for me I will cook and bake and enjoy it. Thank you for sharing
Yummy! My grandmother used to give me the foam to eat on a slice of bread whenever she canned jelly 😋
Nothing wrong with that foam 😆😋
I love grape jelly. As a kid there was no other kind to have. Memories
Thank you. A very informative video on making grape jelly. Step by step instructions that shows that it isn’t complicated to make jelly.
Toni, this was a very good instructional video and who doesn’t love grape jelly? We do. Thanks!!
