Not being critical, just hopefully helpful ....As a Firearms instructor for 15 years, I recommend holding that revolver with a true revolver grip (Crossing outer thumb over inner thumb) and not a semi-automatic thumb forward grip as you have, will indeed help absorb the recoil. This also keeps your thumb out of the way of being burned by being in front of the cylinder. On a fun side note our first Duty station was in Kodiak Alaska, and we absolutely loved it ❤

That Kodiak Colt Anaconda model being ported and shorter barrel along with a non-fluted cylinder is a great concept revolver. Wilson Combat steel adjustable rear sight would be an upgrade for me. The longer cylinder allows use of the Garrett Cartridges of Texas 330 grain Hammer Head +P load as well as the Buffalo Bore +P+ 340 grain flat head hard cast gas check bullet 44 magnum load.
For me this 2 guns are better than phayton and anaconda. Than you so much colt

The coolest part is that this is also one of the few guns that can shoot +p+ as well.
