Your logic then matches with Pakistan’s current scenario.
It’s not about the fund or social schemes, it’s about willingness of rulers to keep the required pace & determination and surely there is shortfall.
@@brijithsiberson3395comparing India with Pak is incorrect. pak current scenario is coz of highly tilted, wrong prioritise. R&D expenditure is highly monitored and is usually linked to results, that's not the case for many govt schemes.

In what category does china's DF 17 comes ? Also, Brahmos is developing their own hyper sonic cruise missile, aren't they ? Which one would be better, DRDO's or Brahmos's ?
When both missile will be tested in real world scenario then it will become clear whose missile is better DRDOs or brhamosh's.
Df 17 is a hypersonic ballistic missile with glide vehicle.
Both Brahmos 2 and HSTV is same. DRDO doesn't have know how of ramjet propulsion of brahmos let alone scramjet propulsion.
Brahmos ramjet propulsion comes from Russia and Russia has denied it's TOT.

A mistake that needs rectification. Indian hypersonic is on par with russia. USA tried to make only a air launched variant which technically should not be called a complete HS cruise missile. But USA failed multiple times and shelved the project last year. Only russia india France and china have either working or testing HSCM that are land launched and can be called actual cruise missiles
US has 6 different projects from 6 different orgs

A true hypersonic cruise missile means that it should travel at a constant speed of 5 mach to 6 mach throughout it's designated range with ability to change it's path & height midcourse . Then only India can call itself a hypersonic cruise missile power......
