A disorganized, high priced store is a turn off to me. Also, thrift stores that put out items that are so worn or damaged that they should not be sold.
the prices at my local savers have gotten ridiculous. sucks that they don’t allow you to try on clothes and on the mirrors they have signs saying we can’t try on over clothes 🙃 also, on specific color tag days that color is no where to be found.
How ridiculous that there is no dressing rooms, AND they don't want people trying on over their clothes! I wouldn't shop there, and I'd write them bad reviews anywhere I could.
We don't have thrift store chains in our country. There only are single second hand shops. The quality varies. Some are kind of ok, others bad. The bad ones get their stuff for free, expect it to be in pristine condition and sell it for expensive prices (the furniture). The clothes and smaller things like decorations often are thrown onto the shelves or corner (or they look like it). And don't think you can find something nice.
A mini but iconic haul, the dresses are so cute!! Definitely hate when the thrifts price based on style/trendiness rather than quality/item, I tend not to go to savers or goodwills for that reason unless I have a coupon!
In one of our charity shop here in UK, London, they price all tops either £3.99 or £4.99, coats 7.99 - £9.99 , trousers anywhere between £2.99 - £3.99. They do have a rack for designer items but that is price accordingly. Great haul
i feel like all major chain thrift stores have gotten so pricey! it's not right that many places are pricing out the main people that need/would use thrift stores as their main place to purchase clothing. like the pricing on company event or high school sport team t-shirts being 8-10$ is ridiculous
i swear the employees at savers price stuff just based on vibes, no logic to be found lol. the prices at my local savers in the midwest never make sense to me either
Yeah, that location is always a hit or miss for me. I agree that the pricing is the biggest problem, but I have found some great pieces there. It's more of a visit occasionally than a go-to store.
I don't think it makes sense to change out sale tags because the whole reason they're on sale is their older pieces that hadn't sold. It would only make sense in areas where they don't have enough stock. I love both of the black gowns on you! Glad you found something to buy at the worst rated thrift store, even though they're greedy bastards.
I have found that it’s easier to find mid wash denim on denim :) maybe because there’s less variation in the mid wash denims than the light and dark washes?
I used to work at savers pricing shoes. They use an abc system. A tier top brands B average C cheap then goes from that to quality great medium and poor condition. The computer makes the prices.
I work at savers, pricing is horrendous. you want to price a pair of jeans for 17! and then pay your employees 13 and hour?!?! (I know wages are dif depending on where you live but still!) there are preset prices on the computers for items depending on the quality of the item, so it’s really corporate being greedy mfers. they also “recycle” the overstock but really they are just selling it by the pound to the global south! they’re always making money ALSO they only do exchanges now but refuse to put dressing rooms back into their north American stores?!?! greedy greedy greedy
It looks like all the savers I’ve been to. Prices are all over the place leaning on online resell prices. I used to shop savers when they first opened closer to me. But nah. I score better finds at the swap meet or goodwill outlet.
I HAVE A LONDON FOG ADDICTION. I TRULY HAVE A TRENCH ADDICTION BUT LONDON FOGS ARE MY TOP BRAND. I HAVE OVER 8 FOGS AND HAVE NEVER PAID OVER $15 FOR ONE🤦🏽♀️ I'VE FOUND COLORS LIKE BOTTLED GREEN, THAT SAME GRAY HUE, ON WITH A NECK BUCKLE AND LATCHES ON IT .... THE SPOT YOU'RE SHOPPING AT IS SIMPLY GETTING OVER ON PEOPLE AT THIS POINT.😢
The prices there are still cheaper than what I’ve seen on ThredUp. Sucks that influencers are always hyping things/places up only when they’re sponsored. Seems like the truth comes out when it’s unsponsored or not catered to them. Don’t know what to believe 🤷🏽♀️
I know thredup does have higher prices than thrift stores. I've used coupon codes on their site before to get better pricing. I do think you can find some good pieces on there. I think with online apps/stores more logistics go into it, i.e shipping/handling/website/ etc.. Regarding sponsored content, I understand that you feel that "things are hyped" because of it. However, I think most "influencers" wouldn't agree to work with the brand unless they like it.

i agree.
Ok but $30 for 2 killer black dresses?! That's honestly not too bad at all! You look amazing in both of them, Karina. ❤
Agree. I don't think this was the worst thrift store! Savers is always overpriced so these 2 weren't priced too bad
That black halter dress looks incredible on you!!!
It’s one of my favs! 💖
I don't know what you did differently with your hair or make up but girl you look extra good today! xoxo

Girl what lipstick are you wearing? It looks soo good! Especially with those finds!
thank you. It's actually a old lipstick from the selena and mac collaboration called "dreaming of you"
A mini but iconic haul, the dresses are so cute!! Definitely hate when the thrifts price based on style/trendiness rather than quality/item, I tend not to go to savers or goodwills for that reason unless I have a coupon!

The black halter dress looks amazing on you! Merry Christmas to you! I look forward to your 2025 videos.
The Ralph Lauren dress!!!!❤
Goodwill and Salval also do individual pricing now, atleast the ones near me (in Pittsburgh PA!), I’ve seen jackets for 50+ dollars, insanity
You hair looks so good also both dresses terrific
i swear the employees at savers price stuff just based on vibes, no logic to be found lol. the prices at my local savers in the midwest never make sense to me either
They used a computer system based on brand and quality. I used to work there in 2017
Love those dresses...You hit the jackpot!!!!
Karina I am begging for the name brand on the leopard trench! Love love love it so much!

Gorgeous dresses! ❤
Both items look really nice on you.

That halter looks Incredible on you 😅
Imagine my surprise when you pick up the same exact black kitten heels I thrifted not too long ago here in Florida 😂
omgg, they are nice. They were just a bit big on me.
@ Ugh what a shame because they’re sooooo comfy 😭
Karina you look amasing in the RL dress
thank you
$10 in 1990 Charlotte Russe is like $25 now
How beautiful your look today! Thanks for your content. Your taste is amazing!
The striped overalls🤩
thank you
Love the dresses you found!
thank you, i've already worn both
both of those dresses are STUNNING on you!!!
thank you!!
All of the thrift stores near me (Detroit) are wayyy overpriced. Not a single item under $10
Worst rated thrifts are dirty and expensive. They have that thrift store smell.
Great choices!
Not much into chain thrifts.
The sound on this video is pretty poor…. it’s too close to yourmouth.
sorry about that. I will try my best to learn and fix my audio..
And why are you holding the mic when it has a clip
I really didn’t think it was that much of an issue personally 🤷🏻♀️
