Thank You for your time and translating those iconic songs for people without knowledge of the language/ but still enjoying the beauty of her amazing voice. THANK YOU 😊
Yesterday, just found your Translation of "Sirt El Hob" (all 3 Parts) and LOVE it, I found it so poetic and beautiful. Thank You so much. I love Middle Eastern music, mainly the old songs like the ones from Oum Kalthoum. I so appreciate your effort of this translation because I know is hard. I often translate Spanish to English and English to Spanish and is not easy, because there are things that can't be translated. I believe what makes it hard is that sometimes the meaning can be lost in the translation because they are cultural meanings or idea, that usually doesn't translate. I have three questions: 1) Is "Sirt El Hob" part of "Enta Omry"? 2) Do you plan to translate "Enta Omry"? 3) Do you plan to translate "Alf Leila wi Leila"? Once again, Thank you.
I'm happy that you like her. I advise you to search on RUclips for Basmala kamal (in Arabic) بسمله كمال we call her in Egypt baby Oum kalthoom. She used to sing mainly her songs since she was 15 years old. Hope you will enjoy.
Well done Excellent work Can I humbly request to do the same with Robaiyat khayam and ya dhalimni All my life I have been in love with the music of umma kulthum without understanding Arabic Please do this again God bless
Hi. At first alf shukr for the translation. And writing the Arabic sentence so I can read them. Can you also translate alf wa Leila please? And perhaps laanek meaaya of samo Zaen? Thanks
Thank you for the effort but you misinterpreted some really important parts like: “El-ash’een dabo ma tabo” means “Lovers are worn out by love but not repented”. It’s a play on words by the writer and if the reader doesn’t understand its meaning the song loses its beauty.
What a great add FJ ... in a week I will be at the 1 and only Amsterdam Oum Kalthoum performance and I feel like prepping myself somewhat. It is a leftover from my early 90's students adoration that I always kept dear. Now I will see about her more......
thank you so much for this translation i wanted to introduce a friend who doesn't speak Arabic to oum kalthoum and this was a big help 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The world needs this profound love! The great Oum Kalthoum.
