I always leave my Christmas tree and decorations until Jan 6th and take it down on the Jan 7th. I was born in Europe so that's how my parents did it. The 3 wise men only reached the baby Jesus on Jan 6th with the gifts so it's considered the Christmas season. Enjoy your decor as long as it makes you and your kids happy.🦋

Love that idea! My tree is still up, and it’s March. My husband injured himself and I need his help because it’s so heavy. I’m seriously thinking about keeping it up all year long!

I have already started taking my decorations down. Just ready for my house to be back to normal. I don’t envy people that have to clean up/organize all of the kids toys. That would be overwhelming for me. My niece and her husband took their two girls to Disney the morning after Christmas so they had to clean the house and organize the toys on Christmas night. They didn’t want to come home to that task. Happy New Year!!! 🦋

I’m keeping my trees up I just took all the ornaments off and got rid of everything red,It’s so calming and relaxing but still so cozy.

I marveled that your sweet little Charli didn't carry off some of Barbie's accessories. My Yorkies are older now, but when they were young many of Barbie's shoes would have been missing their mates. I love watching Charli run around during your videos. I'm so happy that you have your own home back. I began watching your videos when you were originally living in your home and I could always tell that you took great pleasure in keeping your home lovely and in such a tidy order. Love your getting things together video and so glad you all had a great Christmas. Mine was a little bittersweet. My grandson and his girlfriend were gonna be having a little girl in February, her name was gonna be Maddison. They lost her at 17 weeks on October 3rd this year to what the doctor called a catastrophic cord event. I and we all missed getting to buy things for her for when she would be born. Then on Christmas Eve he asked her to marry him and they are on the top of the world. It took him a year to get up the nerve, LOL. Thank you for the cleaning motivation you give us and being such a great Mom to your babies, Hope 2024 is the most awesome year for you all.
🦋 I took my inside Christmas decor down Christmas Day, the tree and outside decorations came down the next day. I needed the house back to “normal”. It’s always nice to have it nice and cleaned.
I agree with you. This Christmas was different because you were in your new house.
I took everything down yesterday just have to move a large piece of furniture that will have to wait until I have some help to move it. I like taking this week to purge and organize around the house and start the new year with a clean sparkling house.
My mom used to make a boxed cake mix with leftover candy. She only used soft candy like chocolate or even m&ms. She put all the candy in the food processor to make it small, then added it to the cake batter. Comes out great! 🦋

Wow, you did a great job getting that all done in one day! I’ve cleaned the major mess out of the living room but I’m still working on the rest of the house. I leave my tree and decorations up until at least New Year , then work on getting them down and the house reset.
We usually leave our decorations up for the first week of January but for the first time I’m ready for it all to be gone. Go ahead and and upload that video on New year. A lot of us will be just chilling at home just glad to make it into a new year🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Just a tip about the tea it can be made without boiling. If you add your bags & water, it can sit about 2 hours at room temp to steep. It's the same as making cold brew coffee but with less steep time.🦋

You should try moving your dining room table closer to your kitchen and turn it Parallel. Then put a couple of comfy swivel sitting chairs or a cute love seat facing the fire place. It makes a nice reading nook or a place to enjoy the fireplace.

I always hate taking Christmas decorations down. I usually take them down New Year's Day and put winter decorations up in kitchen only. Girl I'm like you feel guilty when I go to bed sometimes with house not picked up. I have always been that way even when we leave on vacation. The house has to be nice and clean before we

Absolutely loved this! 🦋 I was able to get my home reset in the evening Christmas Day. I organized my boys toys the 26th and took down all my decorations and tree the 27th. I love going into the new year with a clean slate. Today I’m trying to relax but as we all know, the messes never stop when you have kiddos! I think I’m going to take down my decorations for Christmas including the Christmas tree decorations and just leaving up the tree with lights until February. It adds some brightness during the winter

We have a friend who's wife died dec 9th, seven years ago. She had decorated their tree, which was huge, took her two days to fully put all their stuff on it. He has left it up since then. Since he lives alone, it reminds him of her, and he says when he dies, his kids can take it down and keep whatever decorations they want. I can't imagine leaving one up for seven years, but he has. 🤷🤷(His kids are adults and he has grandkids.)
