And this VST plugin also works as a standalone plugin for people who do not have a budget to affford a DAW or for those who just want to play with it. Awesome!
@@buzzandjim4265 I know that, but most free DAW's do not come with all the features like paid DAW's do. For instance, most free DAW's do not support VST/VSTi plugins, and have a terrible user interface compared to paid ones. (in my opinion)
i don't usually say/think this about a lot of these specific modern processors, but this is very well made. it solves a lot of problems in just a few clicks; it has a very good ui that allows anyone to craft/control sound precisely to their ears to a high extent. the spectral harmonic resonation seems on point, and the excess knobs like ring, glide and reverb are SO well done, they add to the control i believe so many producers need in a plugin like this. i see that the creator is still working on it, so nuances like inability to routing midi, not having a pre/post option to the allpass filtering... there are a few drawbacks but nothing out of the ordinary considering especially this great tool is for free. you can do plenty with this, it's a pretty unique sound, seems a little more intense and punchy than chroma for example, so GRAB IT NOW!!!!
Absolutely incredible!! I tried making a colorbass resonator in plugdata a few months back but couldnt get it working properly yet. Its nice to see it that it is possible and you even have note glide feature :O Wow
Bro this is actually one of the coolest and most cleanly rendered effects I’ve ever heard, please please please make it into a regular vst and au plug-in downloader, thanks!!
Hey i'd like to ask, would it be possible for you to make this microtonal-abled? Best choice would be either using MTS-ESP (easy to integrate) or .tun file support.
Awesome work, it sounds fantastic. I do wish it was a VST itself instead of needing to run inside Plugdata, but I very much appreciate you releasing this for free. Thank you, sir!
Yeah a lot of them are amazing, but they can sometimes have unnecessary ring...chroma was amazing for this, but doesn't sound good on drums. This is a blend between the two 😅
Yeah i checked it, i open in PureData but, despite a couple of errors i got in the console, i still don't understand how to make puredata communicate with Ableton. I'm more used to MaxMSP (also because ableton has an integration with it) so it would be cool if you can make a video tutorial on the installation. I saw on the download website that i'm not alone apparently. Sorry ! I'm very not used to PureData and need explanations 🤣@@ewanbristow
@@ewanbristow like how to get going, there is little to none tutorias on plug data. i know its pure data and its a lot of tutorials for that. but plug data looks so much better. i would love a tutorial for a basic synth for example by someone skilled like you.
FL has stuff like the Youlean resonator and Youlean note EQ patcher presets (cpu intensive though), also Vocodex, Ableton has a resonator, there's some options out there. Even just EQ's, pitch shifters/freq shifters, tonal effects like milisec delays and comb filters etc. etc. and combinations thereof can do a lot, but that can be a lot of work if you want a lot of notes implied, especially if you wanna imply their harmonic series to some extent. I'm also a big fan of Harmor's prism, so cool to give a bass a 5th harmonic that's minor instead.
@@synmeow That is way more tedious than having all the controls in a singular plugin like this plus getting authentic shimmery resonator tone isn't exactly a quick process with stock plugins, not to mention the keytracking. You also literally mentioned layering, this doesn't need layering, much cleaner projects.
awesome. the only thing that would be a nice to have now is selecting a scale by clicking in all the corresponding notes. btw how do I get this thing into fullscreen mode?
You can go into fullscreen with the Standalone application. The patch is designed to be tinkered with, so you can add this functionality yourself if you want
This looks really sick, but why is the on/off toggle button an X ??? Very confusing choice, should be a power button icon or something. But I'm nitpicking tbh, the actual plugin sounds great, well done.
Just one of those design limitations. Custom buttons are possible with plugdata but, i wanted this to be easy and free to understand if you wanted to look under the hood.

omg the reverb and filter only applying to the wet signal is just so good
That's what a wet signal is? The wet has the effect applied signal and the dry is the signal with no effect.
