  • Whatever the age, everybody loves rice crackers in Japan. So do I, of course. And while there is a lot of choice within reach over there, it can be trickier overseas. So have yourself some homemade ones! Please try them out!

    Ingredients :
    - 70g glutinous rice flour
    - 45g rice flour
    - 1/2 tsp fine salt
    - 1/4 tsp sugar
    - 130ml water
    - 1 tbsp soy sauce
    - 1/2 to 1 tbsp sugar
    - some nori seaweed

    My favorite treat, the other ingredient fpr the sauce that some people add is sesame oil or seeds and msg which some say is bad but I use it. Great work on the video! Thank you

    Do you need to use glutinous rice flour for this?

      I prefer to use glutinous rice flour for the texture..

    What's the difference between cooking them in a pan or in the oven?

      Hello, thank you! I think it is depend on the size. Small one, we usually call arare (about less than 5cm..) and the bigger one is called Okaki😀

      Hello, if you don't want to use microwave, you can also cook in a cooking pot. Here the link how to cook mochi with a cooking pot.
