In fact this show will probably be remembered as the "Friends" of the 20-teens. Everybody loves them ! Kaley especially has that wholesome Jennifer Anniston girl-next-door vibe. They all seem like well adjusted actors who take the profession seriously, and keep their ego's in check. It would not surprise me if the whole cast didn't end up as life-long friends. I think everyone in their viewing audience appreciates their acting skills, and also the enjoyment and entertainment that they have brought to so many of us for so many years now. It's tragic really, that Kaley and Johnny felt they had to hide the relationship, it was truly incredibly selfless of them not to upset the dynamics and the momentum behind the show. - The rest of Hollywood could take a lesson from this - be a frickin' professional and put your craft before your ego ! don't recommend hooking up or dating a colleague... it gets uncomfortable when it doesn't work out, and you have to then update your resume... in their case though, for a million bucks an episode of course i would make an exception.

Theory: they never splitted. They are actors, the best way to hide it it will be broking and let everyone know about it. In that way they dont have to hide inside their homes, they can hide in front of everyone. Maybe after the show ends... :)
If they were in a serious relationship, how is that distracting from their character work? That's implying that the audience doesn't know how to separate fantasy from reality, which is kind of an insult to the audience's intelligence.
