The originals are stronger, faster and far better combat skills than any other vampire in the world well at least they should. When Stefan and daemon we’re running past him he should of been able to grab them mid vamp run and just full tear them apart. But apparently the writers didn’t know were they were going with the originals so that’s why he was so underpowered, because later in that season he compels Katharine and saves daemon from a pack of wolves without breaking a sweat

For people saying how can The Salvatores defeat a Mikaelson 1) He wasn't even fighting. 2) This was on purpose. The scene where we find out that he isn't dead, it was scary to see him open his eyes after being staked. It was to inform us that you can't just kill An Original with an ordinary stake.

I think it was just for the plot, the brothers were to defeat him quite easily but have him come back right after as a surprise effect that a vampire survived being staked.

Elijah was a surprise when I first saw him on The Vampire Diaries but as soon as I got to see his background in flashbacks from centuries ago and more planning payback for his family, he grew to become my new favorite character since he was honest and loyal but also smart and brave, even when he fights others without hesitation. He truly is a man of honor. 😍 I like him A Lot! 😘

I liked elijah and klaus in tvd but in originals both of them are just not that good and mysterious. They are like just superbeings who can't be killed most of the time.
You said that the only reason they beat him was because of plot armor which i disagree with. The reason they beat him goes into several strong factors: His arrogance and uncareful attitude in this fight, they were being tactical and using hit and run tactics, they were armed with advanced vampire hunting weapons, Elijah was unaware how many enemies there were and they were mostly just taunting him, it was a closed space which only helped them, they had Elena's help who Elijah didn't hurt for very known reasons, they used effective sneak attacks and diversions and overall it's very hard to react to a 100+ year old vampires speed if your not completely focused even for an original and Damon vamp speed stabbed him while he was distracted by Stefan. I'm not sure how any of this could be plot armor as we've seen Elijah be knocked out countless times via sneak attacks in the originals such as by the guerrera warewolf's who despite their strength are actually a lot slower than the Salvatores in movement speed where as the army Elijah fought were all much younger and bullrushing him not tactically, not well armed, non skilled fighters and Elijah was expecting that exact kind of fight + it was an open space in his own home.

From what I have seen in the originals I really doubt that any of them really tried to to hunt them both. They were running away from Mikael and when they were at a place they would try to take control over it and fight for it. Maybe they had some Vampires manipulated to chase these two. That could be possible but i doubt it.

I liked elijah and klaus in tvd but in originals both of them are just not that good and mysterious. They are like just superbeings who can't be killed most of the time.
You said that the only reason they beat him was because of plot armor which i disagree with. The reason they beat him goes into several strong factors: His arrogance and uncareful attitude in this fight, they were being tactical and using hit and run tactics, they were armed with advanced vampire hunting weapons, Elijah was unaware how many enemies there were and they were mostly just taunting him, it was a closed space which only helped them, they had Elena's help who Elijah didn't hurt for very known reasons, they used effective sneak attacks and diversions and overall it's very hard to react to a 100+ year old vampires speed if your not completely focused even for an original and Damon vamp speed stabbed him while he was distracted by Stefan. I'm not sure how any of this could be plot armor as we've seen Elijah be knocked out countless times via sneak attacks in the originals such as by the guerrera warewolf's who despite their strength are actually a lot slower than the Salvatores in movement speed where as the army Elijah fought were all much younger and bullrushing him not tactically, not well armed, non skilled fighters and Elijah was expecting that exact kind of fight + it was an open space in his own home.
They also beat him cause Elijah here wasn't supposed to be an Original

see the thing is everybody knows and even damon himself knows that he didnt have power to face them yet he never fears them like all others do..forget fear damon doesnt even respectfully talks with the originals.and thats what makes him one of the best badass character....just imagine if damon had those powers of originals he would be far more scarier than klaus.
@Olivia he definetely would have handled power even better than klaus and would never michael .Damon Salvatore is deep and complex character if you call him childish you dint understood him

At 2:07 Stefan should’ve known that he is an original they shot him then tackled him but he got up first
They didn't know about the Originals but they knew Elijah was much older and stronger than them.

@@UzairDX3 I think they came into battle and didnt hesitate to constantly beat him with surprise attacks. If anything, its Elijah's fault for looking down and underestimating stefan and damon. That's the only reason he lost this fight. Something he never repeated again.

From what I have seen in the originals I really doubt that any of them really tried to to hunt them both. They were running away from Mikael and when they were at a place they would try to take control over it and fight for it. Maybe they had some Vampires manipulated to chase these two. That could be possible but i doubt it.
