- Bremgarten is a beautiful historical town and in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It is located in the lower Reuss valley, about 16 km west of Zurich and has a population of just over 8000. Enclosed on three sides by the Reuss River, the traffic-calmed old town is a cultural monument of national importance.
The covered wooden bridge of Bremgarten was built in the first half of the 13th century and has been rebuilt several times. On one of the bridge pillars there are two small baroque chapels dedicated to the bridge saints Agatha and Nepomuk.

What a beautiful, picturesque city to see!! I was about to say that the bridge looks very old, but 13th century, wow!! The Spittelturm is also a fine looking structure. Some of the buildings and structures in the city look quite ancient, a wonderful place to visit.
