I never thought to mount backwards. I have a dragonfly DW board. Any advice on how best to deal with the cable? A tutorial of a backwards mounted tape job would be incredible

I just run it diagonally across the mast and tape it. It does shorten the mast position by about 6cm though. -tuckre

Have you guys tried the backwards mounting on the 2024 F-One Rocket Midlength (78l). Would really appreciate any commenting on your experience. With the newly released updated stator it makes more sense to have different cable lengths (suppose 25cm would be the first go-to length?).

Yes, it works. Or you can just use the 3d printed shim if you want to mount it forwards. Yes, a backwards 25cm cord will yield roughly 18mm effective length. -Tuckre

What about the usage of a customised shim between board and FD ?

Yes, you could do that as well but it needs to be made of a material which transmits the signal well or used with the antenna mod. -Tucker

Great idea! Is this the same for the dragonfly and super K?

yes, actually easier on those since they have more room in front of the tracks -Tucker

Do you have a solution for mounting to boards that have a lot of rocker, and the nose cone is floating off the board? (Lift prone boards)

Damn man. :( too ghetto for me… It looks like the Appletree DW Prone is the way to go then. Thanks for putting the video together, I was one of the people that wrote to you about the compatibility

For sure, Appletree, Omen are two great boards for foil drive. if you don't want to mess with the step bottom you could always go with the Drifter4 which is very similar to the Ginxu2 but without the step bottom. -Tucker
