I don't really do the stuff much, so I don't really care about Ohio's prices. With that said I will definitely take the ride up to Monroe if I need to make a purchase. Then use all the money I save and spend it at a Monroe restaurant. Michigan will keep making the easy money for the foreseeable future.

What's legal to possess and consume in over half of the populated areas of The United States should not make you a criminal in states still being governed by woefully ignorant prohibitionist politicians. Cannabis consumers in all states deserve and demand equal rights and protections under our laws that are currently afforded to the drinkers of far more harmful, dangerous and deadly, yet perfectly legal, widely accepted, endlessly advertised and even glorified as an All American pastime, alcohol. I don't trust anything a dude says when he's standing in front of an entire literal wall of nothing but smalls and b buds.
Of course Michigan is going to crush - they're established and they were active in their lawmaking so things worked out.
If their product was better and cheaper, I'd cross over to Washington too (heck, it's literally just over a bridge from Portland) but it's not. Same dilemma - the WA customers always come to OR to buy, whether it's Costco, Gas, or Cannabis. Washington still collects plenty of taxes, so my advice to Ohio would be smoke some of your own stash and chill tf out maybe. Everything will be fine as long as cannabis never goes schedule 3, because then the next boot you feel on your neck will be Pfizer.

It took Michigan nearly two years after recreational became legal for the prices to stabilize as the supply ramped up.
It will take a few years in Ohio as well. But it will probably happen slightly faster than in Michigan because price pressure from Michigan will help drive down prices near the state border which will drive down prices over time in the rest of Ohio.

The guy who set up medical marijuana was a pharmacist. So he required dispensaries or grows to employ a pharmacist. They make 6 figures so they are easily the highest paid employee. Now that it is recreational there is no need for the added expense. The state weed department will make sure they do as they should. So it is the state that should have pharmacists and they should be paid out of the tax money and not at the expense of growers.

I've been to Michigan probably 20 times in the last 3 years and if you live north of Findlay , it's the only place to go. I've been to Nara as well as Jars ( my favorite ) and that owner is spot on. 8/10 bags of 200ml gummies for $25 plus tax ( around $30) compared to 1 bag of 100ml for $24 , carts in Michigan I saw recently 15 one gram for $55 , when Ohio is selling 1 one gram cart for $60/$70...it's a no brainier. Michigan is allowed to advertise , there's giveaway , vendor days , music , food trucks it's a celebration , which it should be. Ohio still following the medical rules is absurd, but that's our lame Deswine government for you...shhh don't mention it. Reminds me of when you could buy fireworks in Ohio , but then have to sign a waiver that I'm leaving the state with them WTH. They want our tax dollars and nothing more. I'll never ship in Ohio , I'm a consumer like everyone else and I enjoy the Michigan experience and respect I'm getting up north. If haven't tried a Jeeter preroll , man you don't know what your missing. How many people do you think are getting those deals and reselling in Ohio... hmmm 🤔 . Food for thought.🙏🇺🇲♥️

i dont think it will take years, as new product comes in at a rate higher than the old goes out it starts a chain reaction, where the older stuff becomes much cheaper. Hello from California

Our industry has always regulated ourselves and the market has always dictated the price structure. Govt grubby greedy hands will ruin this and will complain they're not making enough money because of slow sales because of crappy products at expensive costs.

Comparing a brand new market to one that started 5 years ago is not wise. Of course the prices will be higher until dispensaries are everywhere like Michigan. Their prices started off extremely high around 2020, and now they're much lower. This is bad journalism from WTOL.

I don't get it if that shop has stores in Ohio and Michigan and he is able to sell at Michigan prices in Michigan why is he charging so much in Ohio you have the same product from the same warehouse. That's greed. And clearly just an excuse for them to charge us outrageous prices. But we all knew it was nothing but a money grab that's why only "select" group of owners were approved and they all already had stores and deep pockets.

There not the same products. The NAR IN MICHIGAN HAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PRODUCTS THAN THE NAR IN OHIO. LOOK ONLINE
All of these ohio dispensaries are just selling medical marijuana products and calling them RECREATIONAL.. MICHIGAN ACTUALLY SELLS RECREATIONAL PRODUCTS WITH NAME BRAND PRODUCTS. LIKE STIZZY 710 LABS ELEMENT WOJO splash redbudroots the list goes on and on
