- The Dendera Zodiac in Ancient Kemet is the foundation of astrological practices today. Zanemvula briefly explains the history of the zodiac and its origins in African Ancestry as the initial measurement of time.
Your astrological sign, if you were born in the Southern Hemisphere, is the opposite of the sign you’ve been using. Here’s a list of the opposing signs:
Aries (Asar) - Libra (Auset)
Taurus (Het Her) - Scorpio (Anpu)
Gemini (Djehuti) - Sagittarius (Sekhmet)
Cancer (Nebt Het) - Capricorn (Set)
Leo (Heru) - Aquarius (Ma’at)
Virgo (Geb) - Pisces (Nut)
So your sign will be the opposite of whichever sign you’ve most likely been told your sign is. You can find these opposites on any zodiac wheel online.

Independent research at this level is highly commendable, but it must be said that there is no conspiracy. History has even older Astrological records from civilisations that predate the Dendera zodiac. As for the reversal of the calendar in the Southern hemisphere, this is a concept best phrased as a clever question to a professional. There are excellent online courses that one can do to fill in the knowledge gaps. Jumping to conclusions is bad enough without the kind of harm done by crying wolf. Ask more good questions. Astrology has all the answers, however, never be foolish enough to believe you could know it all, or ever, even enough. It is a huge responsibility to read the Word of God and the consequences of it are His!

This video was amazing! Love how you have put it together so beautifully. I was fighting with a few South African Twitter astrologists who were saying happy new year now in March. We simply cannot blindly follow the Western ways and not understand the meanings of these celebrations. Thank you so much. I truly felt this way and out of alignment with the Gregorian calender which led me to be in practice with the Mayan cosmology and astrology which also is very connected to nature, space creating time amd the experience of us humans through the cycles.
