What a terrifying lovely saw , looks very well made Chris I finally have time to catch up with videos and I can see your band saw will give a lifetime of use, great to see the recycling use of your old one. On the side I couldn't take my eyes off that truck in the background Hope you are good and well Best regards Shaun
Looks a useful addition to your workshop Chris especially having the reciprocating saw to cut the thicker stuff as well. Nice use of the wifes Hermes scarf to clean the machine down.
For the price, the build and the reputation, you'd think they'd include a mitre fence... Nice machine Chris, I can't wait to see how you get on with it, and how it lives up to expectations. Glad you managed to get it up with the aid of the wife... 😉
Getting rid of end of tax year money! I think my future interest is more in construction projects rather than just electronics. So I will be upgrading the workshop. Wait until you see my new CNC milling machine
Ooooh, very nice machine, Chris. Also nice that you were able to get it up! 😮 I don't think the Taiwanese will appreciate you saying it is from China, they are a bit touchy that way. Looking forward to seeing it involved in some projects. Regards, David
A very nice machine Chris. Does it come with a blade welder or are they not a thing anymore ? I used to use an industrial bandsaw and was forever welding blades up. I also detached the end of my thumb on it.
Hello Peter. In my experience all of the none industrial machines use a pre-made band. I’m guessing welding a band requires a little skill and training. I think the welded joint was always a failure point. I would rather pay a very small amount extra for a banded blade. The Axminster bands saw blades are very high quality
I’m amazed it didn’t come with a mitre fence it is quite an expensive machine. My old bandsaw was cheap and lasted years unless you really need to cut metal you don’t need to spend a lot on a bandsaw.
Nice tool Chris!! that must have cut smoothly trough the birthday cake.
It's always a treat to get some new toys for the garage

One of the nicest bandsaws I have ever seen! The most useful thing you can add is both an accurate tape measure and
a precision mitre guage.
Yes I found my old bandsaw really useful. The new one is small with less capacity but the ability to cut metal will be very useful
You are truly a man of many skills Chris.
But master on none! lOI
I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with this, Chris. Like Ian, I'm jealous.

Yes I always give the old girl a wipe down before using her. Just to be sure!
Glad you did the right thing with the manual.
Happy to see your shop expanding. Axminster really should be welding their machines better at 8:02.
Yes there is definitely room for improvement well spotted

That’s the word I was looking for Mitre Fence
Ooohhh am jealous, makes my Ebay Special bandsaw look like a toy!

LOL I think your right - oops

The larger industrial machines do still come with a blade welder but I cannot say it’s anything I want to be bothered doing. Ouch on the Thumb
Do you have the ability to make your own replacement saw blades from bulk blade stock? (Spot weld/grind) Nice addition to your menagerie Chris.
Unfortunately I don’t have a blade welder. But pre-made blades really are not expensive
Hi Chris, do the blades come as a band or do you need to weld them together on reciept?
Get weaving!!
Peter

Very nice machine. I bought myself a new bandsaw last year. It's really nicely made but the blade that came with it was crap. 👍😊
I have heard people say that a good quality blade can transformer a machine.
@@allthegearnoidea6752 I am a joiner by trade (retired) and that is very true.
Makes my 100 quid bandsaw look like a toy... although mine came with an angle fence!

Never too old to play with a cardboard box.
Did you bribe the wife with a new handbag to get her to help
