Your daughter reminds me a lot of mine. My little girl once spent almost a hour trying to kick a 53 Harley with a 93" inch stroker shovel top. The look on her face when she finally succeeded is one of my favorite memories.
I'm a recovering alcoholic and spent most my adult life drinking and dreaming. I've got a lot of catching up to do with learning metal work. I wish there was a rod shop I could learn from old heads. It's good finding channels like yours where I can just do what I can do to learn.
That's such a huge life change. I've got nothing but well wishes for you 🍻 If you've ever got questions, or I can clarify something you want to understand, feel free to reach out. I'm not pro. But I know a fair bit and learned by failing, and doing it wrong for a very long time. If I can share any of that, and help you in your journey, I'm absolutely willing to.
Looking good ...best wishes for the wife,my gal had foot surgery also bout a year or two ago, stay positive. Its awesome the generosity of the community that exists here in the car world. Keep on hammerin down👍😁
She's keeping her head up. Took a few weeks to get her mobile. Hopefully it's only another month or two. The RUclips community is awesome. I've been building cars for a long time. Half my life. And I've never experienced anything like this before. I appreciate all of you 🍻
Hey Ryan, having to catch up on your last few videos. Been really busy and missed them in my feed. This is pretty close and form fitting. I hope the shift linkage clears.
I'm working really hard to stay on track and post regularly. RUclips is such a positive place right now, you guys are all amazing so I want to try to stay on top of it. 🍻
Looks amazing buddy love the look of it with all the flanges and bead work coming together to make it look complete🤟 super awesome others wanna reach out to help the process and be a part of the experience of you n the channel that shrinker stretcher is a beast nice work jim 🎉 excited for the future my friend was nice seeing you guys Saturday also nice seeing the wife out helping again I'm sure she's glad to have some freedom again I remember how happy mom was to be able to do dishes again of all things lol
Always good to see you. We need to make a trip out of it soon and hang out by the water 😎 It's definitely cool having her out there. Couldn't do this without her, and it's cool even when she just wants to come hang out.
I agree. I could have bent something in 5 minutes to clear. For that matter, even if I didn't want square, I could have slip rolled one. But it would never have been as cool as this. I can't wait to open the doors at car shows and let people check out the metal, I'm not planning to skip anything, it will all get worked over.
I'll pass it along. She's struggling to get by, she ended up with 7 screws, a plate, and an infection thanks to it. Not the greatest outcome but she's tough. It does mean she's home to hang out and work on the car with me though.
It's a Kaka SS-16. Also, it appears to he the exact same as a Baileigh MSS-16. It's a seriously nice piece of equipment, and the only way I could see an improvement is the much more expensive rounded jaw models that are available. I'm impressed. And I'll put it through it paces. 🍻
If you need any more info let me know, I've never messed with anything except this, and the generic small frame units, but I will say that compared to the standard, this is worlds ahead.
I've actually got a 12v winch motor, power supply, and a pwm speed controller with reverse and a foot pedal sitting on the shelf. I just need to do a little work to the winch drum to put it together and haven't gotten to it yet. For now, I don't mind working with the girls at all 😎
Shoot me a pm on Instagram or email, easier to maintain a conversation than here. I'll share with you everything I know, but I warn you, I'm far better hammering metal than I am with algorithms and editing.
It'd 20g stainless. To be honest I only know that because someone asked the other day. I pulled it out of scrap because I could bear throwing out flat sheet metal.
I'm moving it to the back, rhe linkage will clear but I need to cut a hole in the rear of rhe doghouse for it to poke out of. That's a job for another day though.

Yea I agree be nice to have a brain shut off weekend
That’s a real nice looking trans tunnel I prefer the rounded fabricated like this one to the square flat panelled tunnel

Hope your wife’s foot heals quickly! I spent a few months in a boot this past year

Impressed with the frame on your new shrinker stretcher... who is the manufacturer ?

You're a clever fella.
Thank you 🍻
Man you do nice work!!
Thank you 🍻
Love the woodpecker on steroids sound
🤣 hadn't really thought of that. I haven't figured out music stuff yet.
Maybe you could hook up a 1/2 high torque low speed drill to your bead roller

Really nice looking panel Ryan! I love that kind of work. What material thickness are you using?

@@kingofbootyfab I know, a nice piece of metal is a diamond in the rough. Just look at it now. I didn’t think it looked like CRS.
@@kingofbootyfab shrinking and stretching SS isn’t easy!
Hey hey... Brother
Is your shifter going to clear the tunnel

Are you going to even fit in the car
Absolutely. Kind of . 🤣
Sits will be slightly reclined, it won't be quite as bad as it looks once I have a backrest to lean into.
