Agree completely, familiar roads, if they provide fun are just fine, although I do also love to go off the beaten path :)
As for is it lazy to stick to familiar roads? I don't think so, there's many joys to be had, whether it's linking every corner perfectly, or watching the seasons change.
Either way there's something special about having a few familiar roads up our sleeves.
All True.
We deal as best with what we are given, and we have to make the best of it.
It doesn't matter if the Road is old or new, all that matters to us really is that there IS a Road, and we are ON it.
We are GOING Somewhere.
That is SO satisfying to a Man.

That's a very good looking bike your friend has. White really suits the Triumph Scrambler...
Honda's brilliance in their 125s is that nobody buys just one.
True.
I have bought none, and that's not one.
Fact.

I’m already looking at a third…
Good to see you are obviously enjoying the little MSX, Dick. I have a variety of runs I do. Nick
I am!
I quite agree. I ride my local roads within a day trip radius around my country house and over time I am becoming familiar with them. There are hundreds of kilometers of roads though, so it is far from routine. It is an enjoyable hobby👍👍.
A great topic to explore! Nice to revisit favourites but I mustn’t over do them. Familiarity breeds contempt and complacency in my case.
Plus I do like to explore places unfamiliar to me.
You like exploring? I never knew that about you.

If we were lazy, we would NEVER buy a Motor Bike.
I have a Lexus.
It is a leather heated armchair capable of carrying me toasty warm in Supreme Comfort at 150 Silly Miles per hour while listening in Hi-Fi to the 9th.
Or in Silence
And all I have to do is step into it, turn a key, and I'm off.
Biking necessitates dressing like a Gladiator to fight in what you KNOW might be a 150PH Storm !!!
The 'road' choice word SHOULD be "adventurous" or 'exploring'.
Having now lectured you Young Pup, I quite fancy a Tromox Mini for it's specific abilities and convenience.
Also, like your Grommet, (aren't you supposed to not get them wet or feed them after midnight ), like your Grommet it is small and cute enough to take into bed and cuddle at night.
After you have finished spluttering through your petrol-fume addled brain, why not 'adventurously' try/explore one and tell me what you think ??
