This is very true. The best way that I've been able to master my sleep is learning how to astral project. Once you've astral projected, you quickly learn that consciousness does not need the physical body or brain to exist. Consciousness is eternal, intelligent energy. what you are about to read is very interesting and a cent percent true statement:- Now I am 20 when I was 15-16 I had started doing a particular thing while sleeping. I noticed that sometimes you can master your dreams and mould it anyway if you realise that you are in a dream, and the best thing is you will also remember it. Though at that age it was only one thing I did in dreams. Sooner I started keeping a note of what things I do befoee sleeping which enables my comcious in dreams... and I started doing those things purposefully and soon I mastered this thing... But, as I grew I didn't saw ang purpose of controlling my dreams as the only thing which I found it useful was being complete in reality, so I stoped doing it. There is no way of being conscious other than increasing your energy levels. The degree of consciousness is directly related to magnitude of spiritual energy. Every time you eat food , you get energy. This energy itself is nothing but consciousness which you consider dead. But it is alive energy. Now the whole point is that until this energy is sent upwards towards higher chakras which will induce secretions in the brain (pituitary gland) .because energy is assumed to be settle downwards in the sexual organ for reproduction unless it is sent upwards by meditation or japa. If you gain enough energy in higher chakras , you can't possibly be unconscious even by will. Because consciousness is not an act, it is result of state of energy. I have tried every way to be conscious. But it's impossible. You will slip into unconsciousness without even knowing every time. And if you increase energy levels, you will be conscious in some daily unconscious tasks like eating food, driving. This probably looks dry in logic but everything becomes alive when degree of consciousness increases. I remember slipping in sleep while conscious ( I didn't try, don't try it will not work anyway ) . What happened was I felt like I got shrunk in my body but still in control. I felt like body is the outer cover under which I am. The feeling is undescribable. I tried to not disturb this stillness. Then a crazy experience of total compression of my body into a miniscule particle floating in the air happened to me. Which scared me because it was out of my control. I felt for the first time complete dissociation of memory while presence of me just existence nothing else just is-ness. I was just a particle floating in the universe or whatever that space was unable to see,hear or think. It was like darkness and me floating like a particle of air but within couple of minutes I came back to my senses again . I still can't make full sense of what it was. But some other experiences have happened to me as well and that's how I felt it was. But coming back to the point , I can definitely by firm clarity tell you that you can't do conscious acts. You have to meditate and increase energy levels then you can't help but be conscious. Don't try no technique , it will not work.
You can enter this state from a lucid dream if you don't move your eyes or body when you come out of the dream and back to your physical awareness then just relax and observe the void before your internal vision the rest you will be able to see for yourself :)
To go through the whole day consciously, every movement, every step, every thought, when you go to sleep one day, this awareness will carry over to your sleep, you will be aware of the body and mind falling asleep. That is real awakening. At least that's what I got from what he said.

I have done these many times. I know when I fall in sleep and what is happening in the background. I have been doing shiva meditation for more than 15 years.
Once u are in a comfortable posture in bed, stop any movement of body. Then with your mind feel each part of your body. Don't move when there are any vibrations. Practice this and you will be able to notice the point you are slipping into sleep. Just sharing my experience 🙂
Many times my body was sleeping and I was awake, I can hear what was happening around me. I was really afraid. I started to pray a lot. Then it stop to happen. Now watching this increase my knowledge
sadhguru's voice, clarity and command totally arrest me that I fail to observe what he say. it's only after continuous watching for three or four times I understand what he says.
I was flying in the dark or night time and I could feel cold wind on my body rom flying, As I was flying and feeling the wind on my body I could see my life from when I was a child to present day as if it was a movie reel of memories moving quickly in front of my eyes. I fly back to my house and I seen myself asleep then I heard tv noises and washing machine running, I had then woke up.
It is happening since 10 years now. I am able to slip into the mid state between wakefulness and sleep .Body becomes paralyzed. I have researched extensively about this state for years as my conscience always told be this is the perfect place to be for self exploration. From my research i came across 112 techniques of self realization told by Shiva himself. One of the technique says -- At the point when sleep has not yet come and wakefulness has still not gone ,being is revealed. Initially when it happened for the first time a death like silence began prevailing,body became paralyzed,a shard bell ringing voice began happening which is so sharp that it felt like I will go deaf if I didn't died in the state. Really I felt death has come. But the thoughts of fear broke this mid state and i came out of mid state. Gradually i somehow got acquainted with this state and became less and less afraid. I found if i am not getting afraid , the ringing sound is going sheerly sharper and sharper, if the bell ringing sound is heard in waking normal daytime it can really make you deaf such is the intensity it really feels like your eardrums are being pierced and the sound is vibrating your brain. Cool currents in spine begins raising upwards with vibrations like mobile is vibrating. But I overcame the fear of both sound and body paralysis as time flew by. Now the point where i am able to reach after overcoming both sound and paralysis is..breath suffocation. Breath becomes so shallow and shallow to a point that it feels breath is like a thread. Then I feel like death is approaching by suffocation.Sometimes it feels breath was not there or stopped completely because i got afraid ,i became conscious of my breath and it started again but very shallow . I am not able to deal with the suffocation so I breaks the state by will power and don't explore further. Further more the second thing i fear is intense intoxication or vertigo like state. If feels like heavy intoxication like a person will feel if he is tied to a thread and rotated in air by the thread will full speed.or like if you are falling from a height and not coming to a stop. These 2 impediments are obstructing me in further exploration. I met many masters but nobody is able to guide me further .
Only way you can stay in that state is by holding on to your one commitment that holds good for humanity or your consciously created desire which the universe agrees... If you go on thinking of your research you will be searching for ever.... You cannot hide from self.

Okay I tried this last night and it was trippy as fuuuuck. I plan on doing it again to see if I can make sense of it all and to ensure It wasn't just from my anti depressant withdrawal.
Turiya is being able to maintain a state of conscious deep sleep at all times. When you are conscious while you are awake, dreaming, and in deep sleep, you are able to maintain the state of yoga nidra and reach Turiya.
I was able to do this only once so far in my life. I felt like I floated out of my body and looked down at myself. It felt really great to be weightless I remember the feeling. I flew around the room and I remember my cat looking up at me and following me left and right. I remember seeing some family members some were alive some were not. My cat jumped on my resting bodies chest and meowed at me several times like she thought I died. I remember descending back to my body like something out of a movie and I awoke and my cat was on my chest. I pet her and sat there in amazement before falling asleep.
Just teach yourself NOT to move or open your eyes when you wake between dreams, you are getting so close. You will enter the state effortlessly between the dreams if you don't move or open your eyes just relax and look into the void and behold.
So in this state is life. In the state is deft. So in your awake state. in life are you sleeping or are you dead. To master this completely is to know life eternal. the never-ending dream of life is to. dreams the dream of never dying and to never know that you're awake in death or life. To know that neither one is separate of the other. this is the yin and the yang. Always revolving around one another but never touching. Harmony peace and balance to try but not to try to do or not to do.
I have experienced that many times. When I go to sleep and wake up after 5-6 hrs I feel like "how did the time passed such quickly". I didn't felt like asleep, I barely felt refreshed. I thought that something wrong with my way of sleeping because I wasn't feeling refreshed. But now I think, I was doing something freaking awesome
Start doing meditation that is being taught and practice what Sadhguru just said in the video! What procedure are you looking for? Few Mantras that you chant and boom you are beyond! That is not gonna happen so just practice the kriya and naturally your system will come to a certain level of sensitivity to perceive.
It happen sometimes but not always when i meditate before sleep. Today was the deepest experience so far and for some reason this video showed up in recommendations right after the event I have not searched nor typed about it on internet but it showed up, weired coincidece you feel like your going yo die, while you become paralyzed by some kind of energy making noise
I did it. And my paranasal sinuses starts drying up. My jaw and face started to become heavier there's a lot of pressure on forehead also then I suddenly woke up after 10 mins because I couldn't take up this and i felt like I'll die , suddenly I woke up after 10 mins maybe. then slept normally.

Once u are in a comfortable posture in bed, stop any movement of body. Then with your mind feel each part of your body. Don't move when there are any vibrations. Practice this and you will be able to notice the point you are slipping into sleep. Just sharing my experience 🙂
Many times my body was sleeping and I was awake, I can hear what was happening around me. I was really afraid. I started to pray a lot. Then it stop to happen. Now watching this increase my knowledge

sadhguru's voice, clarity and command totally arrest me that I fail to observe what he say. it's only after continuous watching for three or four times I understand what he says.
I was flying in the dark or night time and I could feel cold wind on my body rom flying, As I was flying and feeling the wind on my body I could see my life from when I was a child to present day as if it was a movie reel of memories moving quickly in front of my eyes. I fly back to my house and I seen myself asleep then I heard tv noises and washing machine running, I had then woke up.
Shiva is beyond life and death...
I'm going to sleep to try this sadhana...

It is happening since 10 years now. I am able to slip into the mid state between wakefulness and sleep .Body becomes paralyzed. I have researched extensively about this state for years as my conscience always told be this is the perfect place to be for self exploration. From my research i came across 112 techniques of self realization told by Shiva himself. One of the technique says -- At the point when sleep has not yet come and wakefulness has still not gone ,being is revealed.
Initially when it happened for the first time a death like silence began prevailing,body became paralyzed,a shard bell ringing voice began happening which is so sharp that it felt like I will go deaf if I didn't died in the state. Really I felt death has come. But the thoughts of fear broke this mid state and i came out of mid state. Gradually i somehow got acquainted with this state and became less and less afraid. I found if i am not getting afraid , the ringing sound is going sheerly sharper and sharper, if the bell ringing sound is heard in waking normal daytime it can really make you deaf such is the intensity it really feels like your eardrums are being pierced and the sound is vibrating your brain. Cool currents in spine begins raising upwards with vibrations like mobile is vibrating. But I overcame the fear of both sound and body paralysis as time flew by. Now the point where i am able to reach after overcoming both sound and paralysis is..breath suffocation. Breath becomes so shallow and shallow to a point that it feels breath is like a thread. Then I feel like death is approaching by suffocation.Sometimes it feels breath was not there or stopped completely because i got afraid ,i became conscious of my breath and it started again but very shallow . I am not able to deal with the suffocation so I breaks the state by will power and don't explore further. Further more the second thing i fear is intense intoxication or vertigo like state. If feels like heavy intoxication like a person will feel if he is tied to a thread and rotated in air by the thread will full speed.or like if you are falling from a height and not coming to a stop. These 2 impediments are obstructing me in further exploration. I met many masters but nobody is able to guide me further .

Only way you can stay in that state is by holding on to your one commitment that holds good for humanity or your consciously created desire which the universe agrees... If you go on thinking of your research you will be searching for ever.... You cannot hide from self.

@@forever-fz1hk my reply was for akshy, also my suggestion for you is master atleast on kriya before you get into the state, else the pathway is unpredictable and full of deadens.
Just search for sleep paralysis on Google. It hit me very hard and it's really terrifying to be in, even I didn't try for it. It called out of nowhere
If you are awake in sleep then you are awake when the body shuts down.this teaching is what we expect from the enlightened.when you are awake and aware that you are awake that is it...this awakening is not at the level of mind but at the level of awareness....
There are many many things what I heard from him and a few days ago I have started reading Bhagvad Gita as it is same words are spoken by Yogeshwar Shri Krishna, I was just shocked his education is from Convent no background of Sanskrit and he admits he never ever read Gita or any spiritual Book still whatever knowledge is there in it he has "Experientially" known it , that is why in Gita 6.46 Shri Krishna says , "A Yogis is Greater than Ascetic, Scholar and even Ritualistic person , therefore Arjuna become a Yogi"

It's more about experiential reality than belief. He's spiritual so he knows. When you read you know but you don't experience it yourself to define it. But when you experience it your are wordless to define it. This is why most people fail to understand him because their lifestyles especially western don't allow them to experience these things.

Thats why I have been so hesitant. I know once I walk through the door I won't be able to come back and I will be awake until all of time. Our consciousness is eternal energy. Placed into a vessel physical body. We are not really there only energy floating through the cosmos

This is known as lucid dreaming. You can achieve it through various methods.
Turiya is being able to maintain a state of conscious deep sleep at all times. When you are conscious while you are awake, dreaming, and in deep sleep, you are able to maintain the state of yoga nidra and reach Turiya.

Use of that + which is not wrong automatically but more so depends on the context of the sentence. In some cases this use may be redundant.

I was able to do this only once so far in my life. I felt like I floated out of my body and looked down at myself. It felt really great to be weightless I remember the feeling. I flew around the room and I remember my cat looking up at me and following me left and right. I remember seeing some family members some were alive some were not.
My cat jumped on my resting bodies chest and meowed at me several times like she thought I died. I remember descending back to my body like something out of a movie and I awoke and my cat was on my chest. I pet her and sat there in amazement before falling asleep.

I tried to do it and i started to see dreams and waking in between which usually does not happen....
Just teach yourself NOT to move or open your eyes when you wake between dreams, you are getting so close. You will enter the state effortlessly between the dreams if you don't move or open your eyes just relax and look into the void and behold.
So in this state is life. In the state is deft. So in your awake state. in life are you sleeping or are you dead. To master this completely is to know life eternal. the never-ending dream of life is to. dreams the dream of never dying and to never know that you're awake in death or life. To know that neither one is separate of the other. this is the yin and the yang. Always revolving around one another but never touching. Harmony peace and balance to try but not to try to do or not to do.

I have experienced that many times. When I go to sleep and wake up after 5-6 hrs I feel like "how did the time passed such quickly". I didn't felt like asleep, I barely felt refreshed. How to attain that state, please tell us the procedures Sadhguru.
Just sleep but make sure you're not going to deep sleep as if you don't realise what is happening around
Start doing meditation that is being taught and practice what Sadhguru just said in the video! What procedure are you looking for? Few Mantras that you chant and boom you are beyond! That is not gonna happen so just practice the kriya and naturally your system will come to a certain level of sensitivity to perceive.
But how does someone practice it??
When you go to sleep you have to stay awake. Easy. Just practice. And accept they you die a little more everyday you are alive.

It happen sometimes but not always when i meditate before sleep. Today was the deepest experience so far and for some reason this video showed up in recommendations right after the event I have not searched nor typed about it on internet but it showed up, weired coincidece

I did it. And my paranasal sinuses starts drying up. My jaw and face started to become heavier there's a lot of pressure on forehead also then I suddenly woke up after 10 mins because I couldn't take up this and i felt like I'll die , suddenly I woke up after 10 mins maybe.
