Day 5: Gangtok to Lachung
Today, we rev up our bikes for an exhilarating ride from Gangtok to Lachung, a picturesque village nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. This ride promises stunning views and unforgettable experiences as we venture deeper into the mountains.
Highlights of Day 5:
Scenic Ride: Navigating the winding mountain roads, surrounded by lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Seven Sisters Waterfall: Stopping at the magnificent Seven Sisters Waterfall, where we take a moment to admire the cascading waters and capture some amazing photos.
Mangan: Passing through the charming town of Mangan, known as the gateway to North Sikkim. We take a short break here to enjoy the local hospitality and refresh ourselves.
Chungthang: Riding through the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung rivers at Chungthang, a serene and scenic spot that offers a glimpse of the pristine natural beauty of Sikkim.
Lachung Arrival: Reaching the tranquil village of Lachung, where we are greeted by breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and the warm hospitality of the locals.
Local Culture: Exploring Lachung, interacting with the local community, and experiencing the unique culture and traditions of this remote Himalayan village.
