We are trying to stay at least 6 ft from others, which truthfully isn’t always possible (and then we make sure we cover our face).
Just needed a little more milk and it would have blossomed. It looked yummy!!! We love a good tamale 🫔!!! Fruity ones are also delicious. Thanks for sharing Austin during the holidays!
Definitely recommend more milk and hotter milk! But it was still super cool! We haven't tried a fruity tamale before, but saw them at a market in San Diego once. What is your favorite fruity flavor?
Omg the Cocoa Bomb Blossom...on that deck, especially at sunrise or sunset. Wow. I might really enjoy the dunkaroo and the chocolate surprise! Christmas tamales! We live near Milwaukee’s Latino neighborhoods, and tamales are around all the time. Now I (Daddy) want some! Oooooh, chicken molé tamale!! Unless you’ve done it & we missed it, you should vlog the experience at a UT game! 🐂 Love the displays - they did an insane job setting it up. 2M lights!! Happy 2021!
On a gorgeous day (which we did not get LOL), you cannot beat hanging out at Mozarts! The ambiance is amazing! Vlogging a UT game would be really fun! Once sporting events are more normal again, we'd love to go back and experience it and share it. UT has a really nice campus and good food nearby, so it would be fun to share some of our college experiences with y'all!
Hello Adventurers😊😊, those tamales look really, now I'm HUNGRY! The drive thru light show was awesome. Looking forward to more videos next year. Happy Holidays!🎄🎄🎄

Hello 👋 A plus K! New subscriber here and definitely thumbs up 👍🏼. We love all your videos and thanks for the coffee ☕️ shops recommendations! Have a great week.
Bottomless coffee? ☕ Oh my goodness, that sounds so dangerous! The hot chocolate bomb looked incredible. I wonder if the colder weather maybe cooled the milk which is why the marshmallows didn't spring open? So weird seeing Texas with weather like this. I've only ever visited in the summer and the heat was crazy! Th trail of lights in a car was amazing, I wish we had something like this but I dread to think what it would be like with London traffic. I'd booked tickets to go to Kew Garden's Christmas lights but we went into lockdown on the dates. They've postponed it until January but I'm still not sure if it will be cancelled altogether. The driving sounds much better and almost certain not to be cancelled. Merry Christmas guys and I look forward to new episodes in January ❤️
SO dangerous! But very good for a college student's budget lol! We feel like making the cocoa bomb at home would be easier so you can make the milk extra hot. By the time we got to the table and got situated, it was definitely cooler than when they steamed it. We are so glad they adapted the Trail of Lights so the tradition could still continue! We hope you're still able to see some lights and that they don't cancel it all together. I am sure we will all need some cheer come January lol! We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Years! ❤️🎄
I had so much fun hanging out with you two while you filmed this vlog...even in the misty, cool temps! It was so nice to have some holiday fun...this is my favorite time of year! Thanks for letting me tag along! 😘❤️🎄
Oh my goodness this was the most festive and cutest vlog ever!!! I was smiling the entire time! The trail of lights looked amazing!!! We are hoping to go see some lights this evening. Congratulations on a year well vlogged even with all the challenges! You guys are the best!!!! 🤗😍🙏👏
Yay, so glad you enjoyed it Brad! 🎄 We hope you can see some lights too! Is there a cool spot to see them near you? And thank you! Vlogging this year was a challenge at times, but we are glad we were able to share some adventures!
@@AdventuresofAplusK There are numerous light shows here in the Columbus area. One of them is a race track that is a drive through experience similar to what you drove through.
Hahaha what a cutie!!! And Zoo Lights are so fun! We did that in Houston once and loved it. Happy Holidays to y'all and here's to hoping 2021 is a bit brighter! We appreciate all of your support this year! 💗
Fun way to celebrate. Yummy looking Tamales. Thank you so much for sharing all your adventures this year. So many wonderful places in our country. Happy Holidays. ... from the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The drive through Christmas Lights was beautiful... Your Tamales looked so good. Yrs ago we use to get the tamale meats assembled, soaked the wraps and sit around the table making them for hours😂 When I was pregnant for my son I craved Tamales & pickled okra. The day before he was born we made a huge batch of them. Cooked and ate some and bagged up the others 2 dozen to a freezer bag with chili sauce and froze them. That night around Midnight, the water broke, a few hours later was in the hospital and at 8:30 pm My wonderful son was born 12/16/81 😁👍 Tamales have a special place in our family. 😂😂😂 Wishing you and your families a wonderful Christmas and a Happier New Year!❤️🎄💚☃️
What an amazing story!!! I am glad you at least got to eat some before he was born lol! We'd love to make them someday to just to experience all of the work and love that goes into them. Happy happy holidays! ❤️🎄
The tamales looked great, definitely Texas sized. Picking up our Tamale Christmas order tonight and can't wait!! It was great seeing the Christmas light show and thanks for the shots with Kona. Hope y'all (not from Texas, hopefully I did that right) have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
Thank you for a year of great travel!!! Not easy to do this year but you managed to give your viewers lots of wonderful ideas of where to travel and of course with the best coffee and food😋 Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas and all the best in hopefully a much better New Year!! Thank you! That means a lot! It was a difficult year for many reasons, but we are thankful that we were able to still share some adventures. Happy Holidays!
Great video! I grew up in Austin (Westlake... we live in Dallas now), and we are actually heading to the Hyatt Lost Pines this weekend to visit family! I remember going through the Trail of Lights as a kid, and was excited to show them that and the Christmas Tree... but unfortunately after watching your video, I didn't realize you had to schedule a time. ugh. So now I"m scrambling to find alternatives. I think the Circuit of Americas has one though. Anyways, keep up the good work!
They do! I think you may have to reserve a time as well, but maybe it isn't sold out? Mozarts Christmas light show is also really cool. You have to reserve a table and can also order treats to have while you enjoy it.
The drive through Christmas lights look so fun. Natchez, Mississippi did the same thing this year and it was beautiful. If you haven't been already you should add Natchez to your list so we can see what coffee and food adventures you will find there :)
@@AdventuresofAplusK It is such a great southern town. I am from there and go back to visit regularly. If you like southern charm and food that is great for your soul (and bad for your body) then you will love it!

Austin is very beautiful! We are glad this is where we get to call "home" when we aren't on the road! And that is a good idea! I tend to mostly just eat tacos and BBQ when we are here, which typically are gluten-free (with corn tortillas), which makes me super happy! I'll try to think of some more spots to share!
Merry Christmas! Can't wait to see what's in store for you in 2021. Fingers crossed for open borders and a few more opportunities for foreign travel. Europe misses you! :)
I made tamales one year. I will forever just buy them now, haha. I think your cocoa bomb didn't work as well cause it was so cold outside, LOL. Thanks for all the cheer you shared this year- hope you guys enjoy your holidays!
The milk definitely got too cold! We saw the tip to use a spoon to help it out beforehand thankfully lol! Otherwise I am not sure it would've broken open at all 😂 And very good to know about making tamales haha, how long did it take you?
@@AdventuresofAplusK Too long! And then all 4 boys were picky, so I had to make pork, bean with cheese, bean without cheese and chicken. ROFL. It took days, making all the ingredients and then filling them.
Always enjoy ya's vids so i was thinking about going to Austin maybe this or next week never been. I'm from DFW so could you give some quick sight seeing tips , places to visit?
Hi Steve! We have a guide with all of our favorite spots on our site! adventuresofaplusk.com/a-weekend-in-austin/ (Not sure if ALL are open due to COVID right now, but most should be!)
Oooooh Trail of Lights looks similar to Night of Lights that I bought a ticket for in Orange County, CA 🤩!! The biggest difference I noticed is... much cheaper there in Austin 🙈! It will be worth it though! ✨
@@AdventuresofAplusK $48 😬 for the normal car option that can fit 5 people (cheapest option)... heh.... 😅 ... I did use the $2 off coupon (ended up being $46)... not much but something... lol... -Looks beautiful though worth it 🤩 (Overall I think it's a good price if you compare ticket prices towards shows).
That isn't too bad! I forget how much it cost for the Trail of Lights when it was a walking event, but we think it's worth it to support a local tradition though!
Looking forward to ALL your adventures in 2021! Would love to see you guys hit Big Sur.....Carmel.....California Coast.....New Mexico....Naples, FL.....Marco Island......Key West......ALASKA!!!! I can keep going if you like.........
Hahaha a lot of those were on the list, but with travel restrictions our west we aren't so sure our plans now. But we will try to visit as many beautiful places as we can! We can't wait!
We've been taking a much needed break for the holidays 😊 We'll have a short update video next week, but with the current state of the world, making travel videos is a bit tricky right now.

Happy holidays to you and your family !
Thank you so much! Happy holiday to you as well!
Great video!! Maybe we will see you at Lions for a round of golf. Happy Holidays!!!!
Adam would love to go there while we are here! Happy holidays!
LOL, sounds like our house! Everyone wants something a little different 😂
We miss you guys! 😭⛄️
We'll have a short update video on Thursday! 😄 Doing a Patron-only Live on Tuesday night though if y'all are able to join!
Where is the patience with the chocolate bomb?? Happy Holidays to you both !
Hahah the milk wasn't hot enough 😩 Happy Holidays to you too!
@@AdventuresofAplusK thank you✌ wants some of those tamales!!
Oooooh Trail of Lights looks similar to Night of Lights that I bought a ticket for in Orange County, CA 🤩!! The biggest difference I noticed is... much cheaper there in Austin 🙈! It will be worth it though! ✨
Oh wow, how much is it there?! And it was super beautiful and festive, super glad we did it!
Welcome to Little Rock y’all videos are awesome 🙏🙏 I live here also is not too bad here 😇
Thank you! We enjoyed your city!

@@AdventuresofAplusK ah you know me and my crude sense of humour to well. Have a great Christmas and new year guy's. Stay safe 🤙🤙🤙
Have eaten at Hula hut a couple of times, but never made it to the coffee place.
Hula hut has great views! 😍
I helped my ex's family make tamales. I had to spread the masa for 70 dozen tamales. Never again! 😂
That's a lot of tamales and a lot of work!
Very Nice!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Whered u guys go no more videos
We've been taking a much needed break for the holidays 😊 We'll have a short update video next week, but with the current state of the world, making travel videos is a bit tricky right now.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Same to you! Happy Holidays! 🎉
