I made it through season 1 until numenor "THE ELVES GONNA STEAL OUR JOBS" died laughing and never watched another one. I called that sauron was halbrand as soon 5 minutes into his introduction. Wasnt even subtle.
I made it 20mins into the first episode. Not even the chuckling it caused was enough to keep me watching. The review videos from Nerdrotic and Disparu were far more entertaining.
I find it sad that so many good shows are cancelled and shows that could have been great are handled badly. It's like reading a good novel only for someone to smack it out of your hand and gives you their aweful fanfiction with bad grammar and will tell at you if you are not interested

galadrial is literally a mary sue. what they did was take elrond's adventures post 1st age, slap galadrial in his place, ignoring that she had a story of being married to the forest lord and raising her daughter. nope, scratch that. and the reason they are doing more seasons is their contract with the tolkien estate was for a 5 season agreement, and only able to tell a story after the 1st age (similiarion) and before hobbit. while there was lore, so far they are ignoring pretty much everything there is lore for and doing their own thing.
Honestly I didn’t even know this trailer was out.
Never gonna watch Amazon's Rings of Power. Didn't even watch the first season. Amazon prime is incapable of making anything watchable.

I cancelled Amazon Prime solely because of Rings of Power. I hardly ever order from Amazon anymore. I don't think I can hate a series more than I do this one!

All the Silmarillion fans wanted to some day see Feanor and the Kinslaying... So they make a story about Galadriel pretending its a Silmarillion story...
Just realize that they decide to depict second age Galadriel, so 8000+ years old, essentially exactly the same person she was in the LoTR movies(11,000+ years old), as a "young and rash" person compared to the wise and mature woman she was during LoTR. also i haven't really watched RoP season one, but she is already married and have a child at that time.
What's worse is that it's 37% on ONLY 8 EPISODES
Of all the Amazon originals, this is one of them.

I still can't believe they made Elrond politically ambitious. ELROND! The heir to basically every throne in Middle Earth, who basically started a hotel in the woods to AVOID being king.

I actually cancelled my Prime account (which I'd had for years) because of the disrespect they showed to the Professor with thier rings-of-power asshattery. That made it a lot easier to not buy from Amazon too, so yet more lost revenue for them. Very satisfying.
Who the heck is Halbrand? From what I heard he’s Sauron/Annatar. I don’t recall Halbrand ever being one of Sauron’s aliases. The actor doesn’t even look angelic which is how Sauron is supposed to look in the second age until he lost his ability to shape shift. This show is just all kinds of messed up and they know it.
Tolkien says that Sauron wandered the southern lands, but under what name is not written, so they could choose any name.
Clarkson's farm came out on Prime and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I hope it does better than this.

I made it 2 episodes in and gave up. It was so freaking stupid! Those ninja flips of Guyladrial were so stupid I was rolling on the floor laughing.
I love the part when Galadriel walks into Nakatome plaza and is met by T-1000. She then uses the force and says "it's just been revoked". Walking out, the building explodes and she plants a kiss on princess Leah. Literal chills!

I made it through season 1 until numenor "THE ELVES GONNA STEAL OUR JOBS" died laughing and never watched another one. I called that sauron was halbrand as soon 5 minutes into his introduction. Wasnt even subtle.

I made it 20mins into the first episode. Not even the chuckling it caused was enough to keep me watching.
The review videos from Nerdrotic and Disparu were far more entertaining.
I find it sad that so many good shows are cancelled and shows that could have been great are handled badly. It's like reading a good novel only for someone to smack it out of your hand and gives you their aweful fanfiction with bad grammar and will tell at you if you are not interested
The only people that were finishing the show were the content creators that were dunking on it
