Something that I realized watching the T1 series this Worlds and why I think they play them so often is that pick comps can leverage a single point of failure on the other team. You don't have to rely on everyone firing on all cylinders at the same time. All it takes is a mistake by one person on the other team and you can turn that into SO much. Look at how much smoke Lehends is getting even now. T1 knows that at some point, someone is going to make a mistake, so they give most or all of their players champions that can instantly take advantage of those mistakes. You don't necessarily even have to get a kill. Say you catch a support going to ward or sweep and he has to flash. Well now that Support can't walk up and clear vision as easily. That allows you to create more pockets of uncertainty that cause everyone else to have to play conservatively. They can't really push their leads too much. The person who blew their flash has to play ultra-conservative or they become free gold. Pick comps also make split pushing/side laning incredibly difficult. T1 will pull you apart from multiple directions until they catch that mistake, and then boom your support eats an Ashe arrow or Gragas ult and now you're 4v5. T1 will run straight to an objective and force you to either give it to them or fight 4v5 potentially getting picked off again just trying to get vision on them. This is what make's T1's pick comps so effective, because they will just keep finding those opportunities until they can force you into a REALLY bad call that flat out wins them the game.

i dont understand the idea that guma has a small champ pool. he plays every champ in this meta? except i guess ezreal. xayah, kalista, ashe, kaisa, jhin, he played ziggs domestically too, and he's pulled out caitlyn, varus, draven... so like? i don't see guma champ pool being a problem edit: to the people who explained it to me in responses, i see the point honestly. ty for explanation :D ultimately i think banning out xayah ashe will not be super fruitful for BLG, but i suppose it's a route that's there. reason being, sure, put guma on a losing matchup, stick him on varus or something--will it really shut down T1's engine? probably no--they're use to playing guma weakside/guma utility pick. this is the team that had a 100% WR on senna till they played vs HLE this year
It's not because he has a small champs pool, but more like has limited champs he can play comfortably because of the meta. You should watch Caedrel banpicks analysis of T1 vs GenG, he explained it there too.
Nor exactly the literal meaning of champpool, but how comfortable he is on certain champs. His kaisa is probably the least adc he played. His ziggs has not been superb in domestic. His erzeal is great but he seems to never pick him in pro play. Every adc has their own comfort picks. Not everyone in the league can play cait like guma, but it just doesn't happen to be a meta where guma cait can come out.
uh i wouldn't be mad at all if blg banned kalista, ashe, xayah every time on blue side to force guma to "fall back on" varus, since 90% of guma highlights from last 2 years have been on his varus... blg really wants to see if his constant baron steals or his 1v2 ruler AND gala from last year aren't flukes lol...

One thing about Guma though is that in summer season he would suck at anything because the meta isn't for him but when he comes to worlds he pick non-meta picks and shows even better performance than the best adcs getting their hands on meta picks.
And? Geng had an incredibly hard draw but I never saw them complaining. T1 drew finalists too. And from what we see from this tournament, faker is definitely the best ahri, i think he has won every single game on it. He’a a great ahri because he sees the angle, while knight’s ahri quite often fades into the background. And gumayusi has the widest champ pool of all adcs, basically every pick is a comfort pick for him. He doesn’t play kaisa because t1 always need bot pick to be lane dominant or at least self sufficient while not falling beind. Other than these two dumb takes caedrel was quite solid on the prediction
"while knight's ahri quite often fades into the background" is a crazy take but I can't even counter that considering he went 3-0 gigafed early in game 5 and still couldn't close the series out.

BLG just needs to punish keria. If keria leave guma alone, then the guma can be easily punished. Once keria stay in bot, not wandering around. T1 has a high chance to lose the game. BLG also needs to ban the ahri, cait to limit the lane push from T1 to better target early resources. And give knight carry champ to pin faker in the mid. And gap faker
BLG are good taking out the ADCs in teamfight while T1 are good at evaporating any support to oblivion. Also Guma positioning is insanely clean while ELK is a psychopathic risk taker.
If T1 win game 1, Nilah Yasuo flex comp could potentially happen to test the water and drag out hidden picks from BLG. 1 thing for sure, they should always last pick Keria on red side.
@linkasfd4295 on this meta it's poor. Especially since his kai sa is the 3rd worst in the lck. Varus jinx Are really poor picks rn. Draven also only works into kalista.
Is it just me or is saying Guma has a small champ pool just ridiculous? Sure he isn't the best Ezreal player, but he literally fearless drafted the entire EWC. He can play Ashe, Cait, Varus, Kalista, Xayah, Jhin, Jinx, Nilah, MF, etc etc
If anything I'd say he has a bigger ADC pool than most. He doesn't play Ez but nobody else is playing Varus or Cait either. He doesn't play Kaisa much, but to say he can't play it is stupid. Some of his biggest pop off games ever have been on Kaisa. I think the reason he doesn't play Kaisa a lot is because of Kerias best champ pool
@@chrissears5482if he doesnt play comfortably 2 of the S tier meta champs rn... he has a small champ pool, cause not all champs are viable in this level of competition, so... you gotta look at context for what he means as a small champ pool
When people talk about pools they usually are refering to the inter tier meta. This is because the most significant thing is how many of the champions that are strong/the enemy will plah can you play. This gives you draft advantage because you can remove more than the given 5 champions from their pool.
I think this series is just gonna be a 3-0. Like call me crazy but both teams imo feel like they're gonna steamroll off of a game 1 win after pouring a bunch of unexpected champions like Ivern.
Feel like BLG will leave yone aurora both up on red side. If T1 doesn’t ban either you trade them and if they ban one you just ban the other. They won’t waste 2 bans on those
There's a phantom champion that geng is scared of if they don't ban kalista xayah. What did Keria lock in that geng scrimmed against? What is the hidden support champion?
One thing im the most afraid of, is what happens if BLG game 1 just doesnt ban Aurora? Leaving it open to see if T1 picks it, and T1 has not been playing aurora, in like what, months? And it forced t1 to pick aurora cuz no way you giving aurora to knight.
its possible that either team leaves aurora open in some games if they want to make the series volatile, but it has its own risk as no one really knows if either toplane can pull it off or has counters prepared. In the case that aurora is picked it can be paired with neeko mid and nocturne jungle as well which both teams can pilot
@hans12797 ya just that I've never seen t1 plays it, and when they did play it I don't remember them being good at aurora. so ya that fear me a bit cuz u knwo knight can play it
I Dont think T1 want to play Aurora at all. Yone might be an angle but jax/renekton/smolder to worry about, i dont know. Banning aurora and giving yone first pick into ashe/skarner or jax/sej or jax/skarner wont be AS bad imo. I cant wait for this series, rooting for BLG
I think you put the weights on Faker's Orianna too lightly. I noticed that many teams, including Gen.G, have banned it against him. So maybe in scrims, he pops off with this pick? We haven't seen him play Orianna yet because she keeps getting banned.

edit: to the people who explained it to me in responses, i see the point honestly. ty for explanation :D ultimately i think banning out xayah ashe will not be super fruitful for BLG, but i suppose it's a route that's there. reason being, sure, put guma on a losing matchup, stick him on varus or something--will it really shut down T1's engine? probably no--they're use to playing guma weakside/guma utility pick. this is the team that had a 100% WR on senna till they played vs HLE this year
It's not because he has a small champs pool, but more like has limited champs he can play comfortably because of the meta. You should watch Caedrel banpicks analysis of T1 vs GenG, he explained it there too.
@@mochou_uyeah. and what caedrel said was what gen g did against guma, its not a shot to guma its just an info out there that teams are noticing.
Also it's not only on Guma, it's how the team plays around those picks as well
guma is not as good on kaisa ziggs as those other champs you listed
uh i wouldn't be mad at all if blg banned kalista, ashe, xayah every time on blue side to force guma to "fall back on" varus, since 90% of guma highlights from last 2 years have been on his varus... blg really wants to see if his constant baron steals or his 1v2 ruler AND gala from last year aren't flukes lol...
Worlds script this year is that BLG will win 3-2 and Knight will recieve the next Hall of Legends 500 dollar skin to save the LPL viewernumbers
I wonder what champion he will choose for Worlds skin and HoL skin. I like his Ahri but I’m not really sold on the idea of 2 HoL Ahri skins
@@UpWithWebsterif blg win I’m honestly hoping for a syndra skin
Knight is way too early for HoL lol
@@UpWithWebsterhe was known for Akali and Sylas and i expect Akali in finals at least from one team if not both. So im pretty sure we will get Akali or Sylas skin.
@@UpWithWebster I don't think the player chooses the hall of legends skin
Been violently sick and having fever dreams, put this video on as something to fall asleep to then had feverish draft themed nightmares. Mostly about Keira or ON picking support first. 0/10 experience do not recommend watching while in a delirious state :(
Prediction for Game 1 and Game 2:
T1 first blue side:
Bans:
Jax (respect ban) - Aurora
Skarner - Ashe
Smolder - Yone (forced by Smolder ban)
Picks:
T1: Kalista
BLG: Vi + Rumble
T1: Gnar + Renata
BLG: Ahri
Bans:
T1: Kaisa + Xayah (Elk's nasty on these)
BLG: Sylas (Ahri counter) + Poppy (Annoying vs Vi/Ahri)
Picks:
BLG: Ezreal
T1: Sejuani + Akali
BLG: Leona
Comps: Gnar Sejuani Akali Kalista Renata vs Rumble Vi Ahri Ezreal Leona
T1 have strong sidelane pressure and teamfighting. BLG more pick-focused with a lot of hard engage and a safe ADC.
------------------------
BLG first blue side:
Bans:
Kalista - Aurora
Xayah - Skarner
Ashe - Yone
Triple ADC explained on video, the other three are T1's standard red-side bans so far. They gamble the Jax if winning 1-0
Picks:
BLG: Jax
T1: Gragas + Vi
BLG: Sejuani + Kaisa (important to secure before phase 2 bans)
T1: Ahri
Bans:
BLG: Renata + Varus
T1: Sylas + Akali
Picks:
T1: Draven
BLG: Rakan + Tristana
T1: Bard
Comps: Jax Sejuani Tristana Kaisa Rakan vs Gragas Vi Ahri Draven Bard
BLG gets the Bin Jax and plays around it, key matchup vs Zeus. Double ADC for good scaling and to give Knight a safe, scaling champion that grows when Ahri roams. T1 looks to constantly isolate players with Gragas and Bard and then destroy them with Vi+Ahri+Draven.
An actual analysis 👍
It's crazy how if you post actual unbiased analysis, you don't get "toxic fans" shitting on your opinions in the comments. Some people should learn from Caedrel.
cause he analyze both sides n not just pick one side's weakness, thats what 'unbiased' supposed to be.
Are you unironically defending the harassment of that GenG coach? Can't say I expected better from T1 fans.

And yes, every bad faith criticism of that GenG coach is 100% from a T1 fan, no other group of fandom in LoL Esports have that level of stupidity. They called that analysis "biased" as if it meant anything. "Wow, an analysis focused solely on T1 have no mention of BLG???? SO BIASED AGAINST T1 WHY DO THAT COACH HATE T1 SO MUCH!???!?!?". Peak T1 fan behaviour.
whatever happens i just really wanna see some spicy picks, maybe BLG play Jayce game 1 and Knight takes over or T1 just slams Lee Sin Leblanc or theres a Draven for Guma or we see Love Camille on Camille
On is gonna be the deciding point for BLG, all he has to do is not get caught
Agree
Nah, I'm guessing Zeus gonna diff Bin. Bot lane gonna win, Faker gonna get contastatly ganked but he's used to it, so he makes it worth it and Oner will do Oner things.
I have a feeling that I’m gonna remember this comment after the match ..

@@FeltsickZeus gonna diff bin when he's been getting solo killed by him? T1 botlane will win though
One thing about Guma though is that in summer season he would suck at anything because the meta isn't for him but when he comes to worlds he pick non-meta picks and shows even better performance than the best adcs getting their hands on meta picks.
Guma Seraphine letsgo
I mean, guma maybe didnt play plethora of champs this worlds but he's true psychopath in terms of picking, so dont worry about him
My prediction is the team that gets Skarner more will win. Quote me on that
Very good analytical video, we've wanted content like this forever ty Caedrel.
g2 drew both final teams in swiss (yes I will not let it go)
Doesn't matter, even with a better draw g2 ain't getting past quarters
That just means they still wouldn't have won Worlds.
And? Geng had an incredibly hard draw but I never saw them complaining. T1 drew finalists too.
Hell, g2 fans kept saying that t1 g2 was really really close at msi and t1 were underperforming so g2 was rated higher coming in (still makes me lol).
I mean, mikyx>keria btw. Two years in a row too. Caps>faker btw two years in a row. Lol. 😂
I don't think g2 is safe if they were playing flyquest. it's a 50-50 imo
also got HLE and weibo which won until they faced BLG
T1 specialty: don't let anyone scale -on the enemy side-
watching this video shows how lucky we are to get such a BANGER finals match. Also I love draft analysis videos, please do more 🙏
Feels like Zeus’s Gnar is being overlooked, it’s the one thing that seemed to consistently outperform Bin’s Jax as a counter pick
*Real, Zeus can't win in sidelane against Bin's Jax(Bin solo killed him inside the tower). I guess they should just Yone/Camille*
38:10 I think in that scenario T1 wont ban sylas save top pick and pick vi force maokai gragas bans in phase 2 zeus tries to play gnar and pick ahri I guess they would have all great ults for sylas but its just comfort zone for them
T1 = support advantage
As long as T1 use their support they will win. They have to play for Renata and CP with Pyke etc 😊
still can't forget the shy rumble vs bin last year absolute cinema
T1 played y'all. Guma going to insta lock Senna first pick. lmk.
unbench the kench
19:02 happened in game 5
All i want is something like ashe mf, but every game xD
I want both teams breaking the meta every game...
I was so bored in twitch kogmaw lulu soraka meta, but i wanna see like one team try late hypercarries or anything really, like nautilus mid, full tank team idk, it's so boring always the same champions...
I have to believe they T1 will pull out a hat trick… for the pick ems. S Tier so far, and I couldn’t bring myself to betray the boys and pick BLG for Finals 😥
BLG & T1 will be watching this
No matter how good Bin and Knight is if Xun can't play other than tanks and be forced to play ap junglers and ON lookin like Chinese Lehends then they won't beat T1. I hope Xun practiced anything but Skarner.
You realise xun is THE vi and wukong guy in the lpl over the past 3 years. Do your research
@ScoutlolLPL not in this worlds. He's been defaulting so few champions cuz they had to pick counters for Knight and Elk. I watch LPL, you just don't pay attention

this is gonna be a banger, Keria is the MVP of worlds, he deserves this win
This might be Gumayusi if they base it on his KDA but I will just be happy when T1 wins
This is the guy who said Mikyx is better than Keria btw... This is the yapper you all listen too
Bro doubled down on it this year as well :'D
@ryven_dev ye he is not as smart as he thinks he is 😅
On his defence T1 played so bad before the tournament especially keria because he sucked at the meta engage champs
23:00 bro says “vawid” then remembers he’s doing a serious breakdown that’s gonne be on youtube and corrects himself xddddd
1 hr analysis we are eating good today 😊
i think both Lisaandra and Syndra are really good into Ahri , Jax, and even Vi(pre 6) , no idea why they are not being used as counters to Ahri
Rooting for BLG but this T1 iteration seem to always play the best league during worlds. So I expect a 3-1 win from T1
If T1 win game 1, Nilah Yasuo flex comp could potentially happen to test the water and drag out hidden picks from BLG. 1 thing for sure, they should always last pick Keria on red side.
Doesnt Guma have a Draven pocket pick?
Draven, Varus, Jinx, Caitlyn idk where this narrative that he has no champ pool comes from because he doesn't like Ezreal
@linkasfd4295 on this meta it's poor. Especially since his kai sa is the 3rd worst in the lck. Varus jinx
Are really poor picks rn. Draven also only works into kalista.

@@linkasfd4295 how would t1 win easy? care to explain your thought process?
@@chrissears5482I think it's just because his Xayah and Ashe are so good that him on any other champ is a win for the other team
These kids have never heard of "don't fix what ain't broke"
When people talk about pools they usually are refering to the inter tier meta. This is because the most significant thing is how many of the champions that are strong/the enemy will plah can you play. This gives you draft advantage because you can remove more than the given 5 champions from their pool.
Zeus spamming Sejuani top now vs Jax in soloQ
Blg: hey caedrel analysis is out, get the notebook!

I’m so nervous… let’s go T1!!!!!!!❤
the title should be “Rat yapping 1 hour” xdd
ON and XUN need to play comfort picks and make plays on T1. Canyon and Lehends were invisible in that series.
generational yapper
I think this series is just gonna be a 3-0. Like call me crazy but both teams imo feel like they're gonna steamroll off of a game 1 win after pouring a bunch of unexpected champions like Ivern.
I felt like i got the same amount of high as you did in the making of this video
I think BLG is not gonna ban Aurora in game 1. Just to test if T1 even plays it. If not, they gonna pick it themselfs.
Anyone else have a strange feeling that Keria might secretly pull out his lux just for a chance at getting a T1 skin if they win?
T1 and BLG coach: Write that down!
give back Skarner's river spires only....but increase range every retake!
Feel like BLG will leave yone aurora both up on red side. If T1 doesn’t ban either you trade them and if they ban one you just ban the other. They won’t waste 2 bans on those
Faker locks in Ahri in game 5 and uses his hall of legends skin
omg leaked!!! just like geng coach!!!!
the difference is he leak 2 sides
I'm so curious if either team will watch this and takes something from it
Unlikely 😂 like caedrel said in the video the coaches do this but over hundreds of more scenarios
There's a phantom champion that geng is scared of if they don't ban kalista xayah. What did Keria lock in that geng scrimmed against?
What is the hidden support champion?
Game 1 will prob have them give jax and run gragas. If that doesnt work, then jax will be banned the rest of the games.
i feel a fekar zed incoming
these are actually so great
Caedral! Where is the finals teaser trailer reaction! Give the people what they want!!! 😁
idk, last time someone picked grasgas against bin's jax. Bin solo killed gragas in lane
t1 played gragas into jax in 2023 against blg and won, they played gragas this year into jax and won. They will probably be fine in that regard.
What happened in the final then 😂?
That solo kill was at the moment when jax was fed and so strong.
Right place right time 😎
WHEN DOES THE TEAZA COME OUT, IM READY FOR THE TEAZA!
ggs both teams strats leaked gotta start from square 1
~ This Ban + Pick analysis is LEGENDARY | Imagine BLG + T1 using your strats ^-^
One of the best Caderal videos ever!
@hans12797 ya just that I've never seen t1 plays it, and when they did play it I don't remember them being good at aurora. so ya that fear me a bit cuz u knwo knight can play it
id rather get series without yone/aurora and possibly ksante. New champs are so cringe, unbalanced xdd
I'm going against you this time and chose BLG as the winners.
Edit: Well...I should have listened :P
Only thing I’m scared of is Bin’s Jax, man is a beast
can't t1 drop the aurora and yone ban on red side and trade?
I Dont think T1 want to play Aurora at all. Yone might be an angle but jax/renekton/smolder to worry about, i dont know. Banning aurora and giving yone first pick into ashe/skarner or jax/sej or jax/skarner wont be AS bad imo. I cant wait for this series, rooting for BLG
they cant play aurora based on my observation in their summer season. that's why they banned it in the first place
On blitz vs Keria Pyke gonna go hard
"WORLDS FINALS BREAKDOWN AND ANAL... ".
I would love a game 5 where T1 brings the champs they got skins for from last year
I would love that too as a BLG fan since that comp sounds disgustingly bad.
Please... we want à quit 3-1
Lee Sin as a ball delivery system wouldn’t be bad, but Jinx has to have a baby sitter in lane, which Bard is not.
I think you put the weights on Faker's Orianna too lightly. I noticed that many teams, including Gen.G, have banned it against him. So maybe in scrims, he pops off with this pick? We haven't seen him play Orianna yet because she keeps getting banned.
am i tweaking or does ziggs have absolutely no prio here?? he didnt mention ziggs even once, if they hard target guma pool he doesnt go ziggs?
