Kata Tutorial: Naihanchi Cho Dan

Naihanchi refers to “sideways fighting.” The Naihanchi forms are about 900 years old. Legend has it, they can trace their creation to the bodyguards of the King of Okinawa. These katas are also evidence of the Karate/Taekwondo connection, as traditional Taekwondo has an almost identical form called “Chul Gi Hyung” or Iron Horse form.
