Madurai is famous for Meenakshi temple the city never sleeps, even in midnight you get mouth watering hot idlies and bun parotta, Jasmine flower, Jallikattu (bull show) in Jan every year

Mam..Bun Protta or paratha and Chicken sukka(chukka) is a Madurai TN dish. It is very famous in Madurai so please 🙏 give the appropriate credit the region deserves and its food choices.

The food preparation was so intense that both me & my daughter ate everything before our guests arrived

Ingredients for chicken sukka:
Chicken 500g
Ginger garlic paste 1TBspt
Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Leave it for marination.
Add oil in the pan and add one big onion and golden fry it. And leave the onions out.
Lehsan cloves slightly crushed 6-7
Green chilli slit 2
Curry leaves 10-12
Crackle them in the oil.
Now add 1/2 tsp chilli powder. 1tsp garam masla
Tbsp dhaniya powder
Mix on low to medium flame. Add some water and mix well.
Now add 1tbsp dry tamarind (pulp can also be used). Add oke big tomato. Add 1/2 tsp salt. Cook it well.
Now add marinated chicke and mix well. Then leave it on medium flame for 15 minutes. Now check the chicken and add 1tsp black pepper powder and 1tbsp saunf powder and fried onions. Now cook on high flame. Then cover with it lid for 5 min on low flame. Then remove the lid and cook it again on high flame. Then add 10-12 curry leaves and green dhaniya.
