The bot bank needs to be an actual "view only" chest in the game, where all items from bots go. I'd love to see how many items were removed over a year, its like a reverse well of goodwill.

@@NocturnalPyro maybe once every 3-6 months to avoid market manipulation. Even then it can be argued otherwise as you'd see which farms are hit the hardest causing people to panic buy and what not. Though i could be completely wrong but I definitely would rather not deal with random added spikes in costs.

They're using sir pugger to make themselves look better than they are.
I remember in Silkroad Online, they had a massive issue with bots. There was a train of bots running out and in to the main city's.
So a solution the developers did was to put an aoe ring right outside the city, in the bots path.
So the bots was just running out and died in this ring.
And you could pay to get a pet that can run and get loot, so people with these pets stood around the ring to get the bot loot that was dropped.
Weird times!
I was doing vyre slay task and the amount of bots killing vyrewatch sentinels shocked me. I was observing them and when i run away just a few tiles, another bot instantly logged in. I think it would be worth it, if you check those bots out.

Great video, awesome to see someone doing detective-esc work to find botters in osrs I saw the forgotten soul bots earlier this month myself and kinda wondered if they were bots but just would hop worlds to do my grind, now I know what to look out for though, and will probably report really suspicious stuff in the future.
The fact that the 547 bots with combat stats in the 80s wouldn't have been banned without you is crazy :( ps the thieving bots in Darkmeyer below the altar are still there ;)
547 is nothing, its fun for the video but in the background there are thousands upon thousands of people running farms with hundreds or thousands of bots at the same time.

@@Laporch its because jagex has told their shareholders howmuch botters make in reveneu, they told them that it brings millions on the table and that the bots are around 70 to 80% of the whole playerbase.
Also not only goldfarmers are using bots but many people want to enjoy the content OSRS has without the need of investing hundreds of hours into mining, woodcutting etc.
If they ban or stop most of the bots like they did in 2011/2012 jagex will go broke and the shareholders wont get enough profits which means runescape will die.
He literally said in the video that they would have been banned eventually by Jagex. In some of those cases he said Jagex bans dozens of these bots per day, but that they keep popping up.
The rune dragon bots are easy to distinguish by checking their reaction time to loot on the floor. They always move in on the same tick (or 1 tick apart) for the loot
I would love to see Jagex send all these bots to a separate server that can't trade with the rest of the players. They won't know they are just wasting their time by farming until they try and make a trade or sell gold but can't connect with any actual players. Plus Jagex still gets their monthly membership, so it's a win win.
If Jagex also creates bots that buy the botted items from the GE it could go on for a little while:P
Honestly doesn't even need to be a bot, just have the GE on that server pay guide price instantly for anything put in it. Maybe also do the same for buy requests.

That's just kinda pointless. The bot farmer will realise within a day, they need to be constantly trading gold off as it gets banned often. There isn't much difference between banning an account or waiting until a botter realises it is useless, they'll figure it out at the same time.
If you wanted to implement trade restrictions to limit the effectiveness of bots, those restrictions would need to be applied to every account equally. Which is what the game was over a decade ago with the trade limit. There is probably a smarter way to implement it now, but either way it will penalise normal players.

It's been a while since i've had a wyvern task, but i have seen alot of bots killing spitting wyverns in the non-slayer cave, all wearing the same b-helm, cabbage cape and dragon armor setup. Good luck Sir P, and keep up the good work!
There are a bunch of those mithril armor bots in F2P at hill giants too, just without the amulets obviously. Super easy to spot since they all use scimitars set to stab just like those ones
I've also seen bots in the Forthos dungeon killing undead druids in the Temple Library. They immediately stop attacking once you get close, then travel a bit before waiting to log out.
All these deleted items may have a positive effect on item devaluations. Sir pugger keeping guthans and craw’s bows at a healthy price lol

I’d love to see this video continue in the future and the bot bank total stay adding every video so in like a year with 5 or 6 of these videos there is like 100 bill gone from the game or something crazy. Keep up the good work my friend
One time I was doing a quest with a buddy when a guy came up and starting talking. We werent interested so we ignored them when they said "Ah, not talking, clearly bots, reported." Like, im pretty sure you dont find bots with nearly all the requirements for a quest cape. SMH.

I was training range at temple spiders a while ago, and I saw many of those dragon/guthans bots.
One of my accounts got hacked and had like 95 range when I reacquired it because they were blowpiping revs
They took the like 30m off of it cuz it wasn't the main bank, but left like 10m in rings of wealth, etherium bracelets, ether, and a blowpipe...
20m for 95 range? Fair trade imo

Jagex should do a community bot busting stream once a month like the old days but collaborating with you. The rune dragon bots wear 100m+ of gear and some of them have 50m+ attack, str and def XP from using the lance on shared. It would be such a fun stream to watch, especially seeing the wealth on some of the high level bot farms that run on private scripts that don’t get detected by Jagex.
because its very difficult to detect those high level bots, as many of the top RS players have botlike behaviour and severe autism. Like there are gold farmers that genuinely play multiple rune dragon accounts at the same time, not botted at all. Theyre not going to respond if you talk to them because theyre on multiple accounts. Impossible to know if its a bot or not
@@MyNameIsSalo it’s pretty easy to tell. If you sit at ferox bank, you’ll see plenty of them tele in all wearing the exact same gear (regen bracelets, full justiciar, fire capes, DFS and a lance) They all walk into the clan wars portal, bank with the banker (not the chest) then tele straight back out. I’ve also been at the lumby spawn, added one and it’s chat was on but logged. When it logged back in i followed it to a f2p world to the upstairs lumby bank and there was 10-15 of them all trading their gold over to a level 3 account. 100% bots as alts would trade the GP to their mains
@SirPugger there's another rev bot aswell. Equipping whips, obby shields, primarily by the pyrefiends near dark beasts.

On almost every world in the wilderness GWD dungeon, there is one low level killing imps and there are 2 lvl 80-90 accounts killing aviansies. They are definitely bots there to alch ecumenical keys. You've reported it before but it has gotten bigger.
Also, there are like lvl 100 abyss rcing bots in edgeville. They don't get banned and I see them rcing like all day every day.
Finally, there are a bunch of lvl 27 accounts that are hopping around at Theatre of Blood bank. They are standing underneath this vampire that has a static position near the voting booth against the wall. I think maybe they are scouts to examine peoples gear and inventory to set up lures. Might want to give a PSA to everyone.
bot farm active in the catacombs of kourend, seem to be doing slayer, came across a guy with 99 attack 76 str 95 def and 96 slayer the other day and also found many like it, they all seem to be like 110+ combat with all non combat stats under 40 and yes i've seen numerous and some of them reply with that automated response script
theres a bot farm at the wyverns on fossil island . taloned ones saw like 10 + bots there in same game other day
I see a ton of bots in lummy castle spinning flax. I'm multiple worlds it honestly looked like the biggest farm I've ever seen. So many that when I right click the names trail off screen.

There's a big bot farm buying cosmic runes in the mage arena bank. The supply is always down and i seen loads login to one world over a period of time whilst i was doing mage arena 1 and 2
There are tons of bots that wear all Mith fighting hill giants. Started noticing them at level 43 every single once then I noticed they were going up all together

On world 390 i found 2 different sets of bots. 1. was going through the corp cave into the wildy. 2. was at castle wars doing runecrafting i assume.

I recently regained access to one of my accounts. I found out it was banned for macroing. When I got back onto it, one was at hill giants and one was making cannonballs. I don’t know what I will do with 7000 cannonballs in f2p sadly, but it has 55 smithing now.
Lava Dragon Isle has or had as of a week ago a low lvl bot farm all around lvl 30. They usually log pretty fast but if you catch them a real person lvl 70 or lvl 90 will log in to attack you.
Your task is Sisyphean. It takes you so much effort to remove one set of bots, and it doesn't really slow them down. You must make this kind of effort constantly to keep the number of bots "lower" and it will never be zero. Worse, the more bots you get rid of, the more valuable paid services become, which incentivizes more people to attempt botting with more accounts.
Why isn't SirPugger a Pmod at this point, legit the definition of the role......
There are times when he interviews players, but keeps all their details/accounts private probably not something that jagex endorses

there is definatly a bot farm at lava dragons with an instant log out script, they carry blood caos runes and are lvl 39-41, using magic to safe spot lava dragons, I get near them and they instantly log.

Moss giants drop lots of snapdragon seeds - pretty sure they're like 100k ea, and you get a few per hour
the bots mining runite rocks inside priff are running rampant, some have like 110+ mining all from mining runite ore o.O

The botters aren't buying hacked accounts. Jagex automatically unbans every single account that is perm banned after 3 years time. Or between 1095-1100 days. All these botters do is Find old accounts and recycle them every few years. Once unbanned, the accounts have all the stats, gp, and entire bank value they had when banned. And you can effectively bot 24/7 for over 3 months depending on your coding knowledge.

LMS bots on the british worlds. Running scripts to automatically switch prayers depending what weapon you're wielding and switch attack styles depending what prayer you're using.
Omg adding some version of this may increase player report rate. Would need to nerf it a bit I think but some incentive to actively look for bots would be pretty useful I think
I was doing a slayer task of my group Iron Man up at hell hounds by the resource center and I kept seeing level 30s to 50s With a fire stuff in her hand running by past the resource out towards chaos Eli never took the time to follow them but even as I hopped away from pkrs I would see these bots on random worlds every five minutes or so
They’re lava dragon bots. They tele to edge and run down after pulling the lever.

Hey I've got a question. If jagex bans the bots and the mules. Can't they find the account the mules sell their gold to and ban them to? Or are there to many gold selling accounts that keep the gold?

they 100% can and i'm not entirely sure why they don't do this
in other MMOs I've played (lost ark, dofus) if you get caught buying gold illegally, that gold is taken from you. So if you had 1m, bought 2m, but spent all of that 2m, you would have NEGATIVE 1m after that chain of bots were detected. And you are not allowed to trade with other players until that negative debt is paid off which you can do by spending money on the game. Essentially they brick your account and you have to pay to fix it, or make a new one.
If it's only 1m debt then it's whatever, high alch your bank. But if you bought 100m, you're not paying off that debt anytime soon. Forced ironman mode until then, except you're playing an ironman that has no gold so you can't even buy nature runes to high alch. They could even be super sadistic and ban high/low alch and selling to shops so your only gold generation is gold drops from enemies.
It's a pretty smart idea but it's effectiveness depends on how good the bot detection is

Edit: jagex should really allow us to have more complicated passwords to at least make brute forcing more difficult, I'm pretty sure a few of my old accounts have been compromised and used for automation, because I have a couple of accounts, that got banned, and I really don't know why, granted, I left them, abandoned for years and play them originally when I was a teen, maybe I got banned because I did something or maybe their accounts were compromised, but either way, the lack of password security is pretty sad in 2022 lol

When I'm on mobile I never respond. On laptop it takes awhile to respond since I'm relaxing on the recliner and the laptop is hooked up to the TV. Then I have to recliner up and respond. Sometimes I don't respond because I wanna keep relaxing.

If the automated system for banning bots is missing these kinds of farms...then at least Jagex should change up the captcha for making new accounts. There are machine learning libraries that solve regular captchas with ease and I'm sure botters are smart enough to use. Ofc Jagex should just apply some machine learning algos for banning bots.
They dont care, most dont even use Tutorial Island bots because the ban rate is sky high.
There are lots of people that just sit all day behind their computer making accounts by hand, they produce hundreds of those acc's a day and sell them dirtcheap.
They will just do a captcha or any other method themself.

You realise what you're asking? They'd need to hire a specialist in that field, and Jagex doesn't even have a customer support team for OSRS. The OSRS team is like 12 people. Jagex has hired fuck all and has no intention on growing OSRS. Jagex doesn't care about their entire game, has nothing to do with bots specifically. The OSRS team cares deeply about their game and the bot issues and they are doing the best they can with their experience.

Just an FYI SirPugger, if its like it was some years ago there are casual players buying scripts and botting just 1 or 2 accounts for themselves to fund their main accounts/staking addictions/buying stupid things like a Tbow. And have no intention of selling it. Scripts that are not really worth while to farmers, but... they make extra $ selling the old scripts to casuals.

The moss giant bots are used to sell and or rent as staking accounts btw
Still it isnt efficient, NMZ is way faster and way more AFK. You can seriously run NMZ bots 24/7 and wont hit a ban so i dont really understand why they are doing it this way.
the bot checker plug in said that my rune drag alt was a bot with 96% certainty. i only killed 28k rune dragons on it :(

What about Gargoyles at Slayer Tower? They're still infested with high level bot accounts with Guthans and other expensive gear. Maybe an idea for next vid :)
it seems like the wildy gwd bots have gone from killing imps to killing aviansies for the noted adamant bars. They dont even attempt to teleport or run when attacked.
edit: their cb lvl often lies between 80-90 compared to the low lvls killing imps. Its an easy way to earn some gp for mid lvl players with 105-115 cb
