Rypdal is one of the most unique guitarist of all time... His name should be mentioned alongside Hendrix, Gilmour, Beck, Page, Zappa...
100%, fantastic guitar player and musician, Odyssey is one of my favorite albums full stop, when it comes to guitar he's one of the first I visit.
Influenced mostly by Hank Marvin...I admire Terry that he keeps his tone always clear & precise. Wonderful musician.

I was moved to tears upon hearing just 2 minutes of this Music. I don't know why but from the second the first note came the emotions just welled up and let go. I have never been moved by a piece of Music that fast or that deeply before.
Cos it's honest expression. Me feels just the same Hans! It's like he is cutting of the pain with strings... for me it's just sounds like this.

what a unique guitar genius the great Terje Rypdal is. My brother and I would listen and study his albums for hours on end in the 70s.. ECM was our foundation for my brothers career in music and my ear for listening till now.. Rob Tullius
Incredible music... thanks for posting this. These musicians are so good!!! Been a fan of Terje Rypdal for over 40yrs, and never had a chance to attend a performance. So i really appreciate this. Thanks again.
For me, Terje has been a great inspiration since 1974. It's great that his health issues of a few years back didn't curtail his creative process.
Terje Rypdal used to be one of my favourite guitar players eversince I've first heard him, back in the 1970s.
He was one of those guitarists who really had an impact on my playing, along with Robert Fripp and Bill Harkleroad.
This is just perfect playing.

I've been looking for his "silver bird heading for the sun" studio album from 1975, can't find it ..it's a brilliant record !
"Silver Bird is Heading for the Sun" isn't an album - it's the first track on his 1974 album "Whenever I Seem to Be Far Away".

que desastre todo el día intentando ver algún video entero he llevado a cabo todas las recomendaciones para el caso y ni así. es muy frustrante unos musicazos impresionantes. y de repente. unos segundos u zas corte .. , que horror es imcomprensible
