Basketball players need to learn how to be smart about *how* they jump. VanSlooten could have take a simple jump shot - straight up. Instead she jumped *forward* into a group of defenders with moving feet - no clue about what would be underneath her feet when she landed. I'm not saying it removes risk of injury - but a lot ankle and knee injuries seem to be a consequence of players jumping *into* a crowded space, instead of jumping straight up.
I hope that she recovers well from it.
Ouch. That's how Stewie tore her ACL a couple seasons back, landing on someone's foot. Hope it's not that serious
I thought it was an Achilles injury 🤔
@@Zyxwvutsrq You are correct. It was the Achilles. My mistake
Seems like they don't give a shit how sad this will destroy the WMBA
Poor girl. hopefully she heals fast

No one asked
She can’t control what’s under neath her and you learn how jump safely that will still happen
You can’t solve that from happening
Just because you learn how to jump safely doesn't mean that you will not land on someones foot, or get injured.
@@jbleyden8090 thank you for saying that
