As its not that simple how we think about choosing core and non core placements even before joining college. As our preference change over the time and I am telling you this with experience. I don't know whether you mean electronics or electrical from elec so I will give general answer: Electronics > Electrical > Mechanical (overall placement wise). Electrical and mechanical have almost similar scope in core side but still its not that simple as salary will vary from college to college and most specifically company to company.
