지난주 무대인사, 이번주 GV는 참석 못하지만 개봉 2주차 첫날인 11일에 한번 더 영화보고 왔어요. 1차 관람 했을때는 현식이 미모에 계속 감탄만 했다면 2차 관람 했을때는 팔라우에 함께 갔던 스태프들 너무 고생많았겠다 라는 생각도 정말 많이 들었고 물속에 있을때와 음악을 할때 정말 행복해 보이는 현식이가 보였고 또 마지막에 현식이가 한 말들이 저를 울컥하게 만들었어요. 자신감은 있지만 자신을 절대 높게 보지 않으며 항상 부족하다고 생각한다는 말이 계속 기억에 남아 여운을 주더라구요. 앞으로도 하고싶은거 하며 행복해하는 현식이의 모습을 더 오래도록 응원하면서 보고싶어요.

Ahhh ❤ I almost cried watching and reading the lyrics. This song sounds like depression sank in for a bit, but he grasped hope. Sometimes in the silence of darkness peace can be found. But hope beyond hope leading to strength … is always a good thing to latch yourself to, when feeling like you are alone in that darkness. This song is a beautiful song, I hope it can encourage those who feel the same way. To latch on to hope when you feel like giving up, be strong and keep moving forward.

Quick theory. I think Hyunsik the one that's underwater is looking for happiness, lookin for what's makes him happy. There's a say that clam shells is a symbol of happiness (Conversely, at high tide, they are “safe,” and therefore happy. Historians generally agree that sailors and shellfish gatherers began using the idiom “happy as a clam in the mud at high tide” (or “in high water”) by the mid-1600s, to describe feelings of euphoria.) And the one that's on the land maybe looking for himself, like after those years what am i? And at the end, he found both of it. Both his happiness and himself.
He was probably trying to find himself again after retruning from the military. He said on Yu Hee-yeols Sketchbook that he wrote the song lonely while he was in the military. So this song was probably him adjusting mentally and emotionally after all of that.
I think i have similar theory extending to what you're saying. I remember Hyunsik said that his heart is like the sea, hence its called the lonely sea. So basing off of that, I think the sinking Hyunsik 0:09 is how he feels in his heart. Then the clam 0:38 is the hope that exists deep in his heart, the underwater singing Hyunsik 2:09 is his dream. Then there is the Hyunsik on the island 1:25 with the water respirator. Its probably a metaphor of Hyunsik in the music industry, and he needs his sea (heart) to breathe/move forward. But due to burnout and the limit of his water (his heart), he couldn't go on anymore 3:39. And as his emotions sink deeper, and he feels more lonely, the only thing left is his hope and dreams deep down in his heart. Therefore, the loneliness becomes solitude as he grabs his hope 3:56 and dreams tightly and saves himself 4:17. Then after saving himself, he realises that his hope and dreams are enough to keep him forward, hence he doesn't need the respirator anymore, because his hopes and dreams will always bigger than any emotion or lonliness he will ever experience. Tbh, I'm not entirely sure about the ending of the clam spreading light and entering into his eyes, but I think the other parts make sense to me. The fact that CG option can be used for the underwater scenes, but he chose not to is seriously very admirable. I can't imagine how difficult shooting this MV would be. His effort did pay off though. This MV is sooo amazing, and the song is just another masterpiece. I listened to it first with my eyes closed, then fully watching the MV at least a couple times before turning the sub on. I'm always amazed at how his music can make me feel even if I didn't understand the language. I was even tearing up when I first listening to the song with my eyes closed too. Honestly, i cry while listening to this song. Its feel like i finally found something i lost for a long time. Like a faithful reunion. I might fall sometimes, i might be sad for a certain time but at the end, its me, myself and I that have the power to step out to continue my discovery. Its a sad yet inspiring song. The fact that CG option can be used for the underwater scenes, but he chose not to is seriously very admirable. I can't imagine how difficult shooting this MV would be. His effort did pay off though. This MV is sooo amazing, and the song is just another masterpiece. I listened to it first with my eyes closed, then fully watching the MV at least a couple times before turning the sub on. I'm always amazed at how his music can make me feel even if I didn't understand the language. I was even tearing up when I first listening to the song with my eyes closed too. It's such a moving song, but it's extra emotional after the rough time that we, melodies and BTOB, have been going through. Thank you BTOB for protecting BTOB. Melodies + BTOB forever 💙

My biggest regret is not stanning BtoB earlier in their career. The fact that I missed hyunsiks first solo album is one of my biggest regrets.. we are so blessed to have these incredible 7 men who love music so much that they keep promising us “together forever” and I’m here for it. Honestly, i cry while listening to this song. Its feel like i finally found something i lost for a long time. Like a faithful reunion. I might fall sometimes, i might be sad for a certain time but at the end, its me, myself and I that have the power to step out to continue my discovery. Its a sad yet inspiring song. Deep inside i know im strong enough, i can challenge everthing, i might just need some light, some encouragement and time to bring the best of me. I actually hv a solid dream, it just sometime the wave is too strong i need to hold tight. But still, i know where to go, and im ready to immersed myself.
