...just noticed possible development of a hurricane...will be praying it misses 'all' of florida, but, especially that it, not, follow Ian's path...be safe...God bless, protect and 'shelter' you and your's....❤
I am looking forward to seeing it with the landscaping done. It looks like a desolate wasteland. In the late 90s or so, Chevrolet filmed a commercial there and planted a bunch of palm trees. After they were done, they just left them and the began dying. The county had to remove some and save others, as I remember...but it looked nice in the ad.
@@CaribbeanCastaways Sea levels are rising. Storms are getting bigger and more destructive. Should we waste money continually rebuilding against the force of mother nature or move out of the way? Insurance companies are charging more and more after rebuilding after every hurricane. I'm just glad I don't live in hurricane territory.

I didn't know that. Interesting.
@@CaribbeanCastaways I just googled it. It was an ad for the 1999 Blazer. Directed by George Lucas!
@@scottdavis6268 cool!
Florida can actually afford to do this kind of work is interesting.
Why?
At 1:52 3:38 5:25 what is the darker areas under the bridge?
It's either deeper water or some grass my areas. But looks like a deeper water channel to me.
Do they have a time set for completion?
I heard 2027.
What a waste of money. Ocean levels are raising and they waste money on this. Would make more sense relocating residents from the islands.
And that would be cheaper? Just abandon an island? When has that ever happened? Should we abandon Manhattan island too?
