    Bien joué. Voilà, avec peu de moyen, pas de dialogues, seulement deux acteurs, un décors naturel mais beaucoup d'imagination, vous nous avez plongé dans l'enfer de la bataille de Normandie. Bravo !
    Well done. And there you have it, with few means, no dialogue, only two actors, a natural setting but a lot of imagination, you plunged us into the hell of the Battle of Normandy.
    Cheer ! congratulations !

    Nice n.n Greetings from Buenos Ayres.
    Btw,the M1910 T handle shovel,does it hang and fly arround that much? Maybe thats the reason why they shortened'em.

      It's true, most of the Paratroopers had an M43 shovel on Dday, wich is a foldable shovel. But some paratrooper still had an 1910 shovel! Well seen !

      Also I'm sue he wouldn't just run through the open patch of ground that has just caused the Death of his comrade from a sniper. He would be keeping well away

      @@sinistercharger Allright, that's actually some very goods points.
      The uniform was really dirty, but the difference between our costumes and the costumes from the real battle and Band of Brothers, is the CC2 effect. It was an anti-gas liquid. But the costumes does have it now ! So it will looks great next time !
      The garand does looks bent, it's also fixed now !
      For the guy who runs on the open field, here is what happened, in the sign language earlier, the rangers says that there is a lot of germans everywhere, and they have to go, no matters the risks. They have to run on the open field, they have no other choices. The problem is that there isn't any dialogues (artistic choice, and I refused to have actors with big french accents) but in the end, it make it quite difficult to understand.
      It's my first movie ever, of course, nothing is perfect in it, but I won't make those mistakes next time. Thanks for commenting !

    pfc telling a e-6 what to do ...really

    • @lostinnormandy1002
      @lostinnormandy1002  2 года назад +1

      That's actually a really good point. Well seen.
      So, here how the scene was though.
      The ranger is supposed to know what happened in the forest (ambush, Germans everywhere ect) and the point is to get out as soon as possible to regroup.
      The rangers knows where the rest of his company is, and considering the situation, they better need to take their chances.
      But yeah, as a e-6, he should have gave him orders. You're right.
      We didn't thought about it when we made it, and now, the paratrooper jacket doesn't have a patch anymore. While the ranger still have, because at the time, (don't know if it's still how it is today) 1st class was the minimum rank in a ranger platoon.
      It could have been made on a more clear way, but we refused it, for a few reasons:
      - It's a french film. So french actors.
      - No dialogue, because we didn't wanted to give traits to the characters. It's supposed to be a random story among other, many randoms stories.
      We have differents scenarios for other episodes. But now we'll definitly take the rank into consideration in the writing process.
      So thanks you !

    Anyone exlplain this...

    • @lostinnormandy1002
      @lostinnormandy1002  2 года назад +3

      It was the risk to take with the choice of not adding dialogues. Sorry mate !
      It's about a paratrooper who missed his jump, he's alone, days after the Dday (it happened a lot during the Normandy landing) and he hears a distant gunfight. He decides to come closer in order to find other Americans, but while getting there, he gets shot in the helmet. He survives it, and progress into the woods.
      He finally find an american soldier, who had his company destroyed. They try to run away together, but they are German everywhere, so the best way to avoid it is to run toward where the paratrooper got shot at the beginin. They run, the ranger gets shot, the paratrooper survives.
      The goal of the movie is to tell a random story, without real scenario, because there was millions of soldiers who lived a different experience, and we wanted to invent one of them.
      Thansk you for commenting !
