- Hey friends! ✌🏻 We are blindly choosing my TBR...again! You already know I've come to love picking my "to be read" this way. Augusts picks are some I'm highly anticipating & have high expectations for. Authors like Courtney Walsh, Kristen Hannah, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Kennedy Ryan & more. Gosh, it should be a great reading month!

The All Souls series by Deborah Harkness is a vampire/witch story! It’s my favourite EVER series! The second/fourth books are historical.

Before I let go was a 5 star read for me. It also got me out of a 5 year reading slump!

The women!! Yes! Absolutely incredible my favorite book this year and I don’t know if anything will beat it
You were the first person to convince me I need to read it!
You ask how someone couldn't know the guy they're crushing on is their best friend's brother, but I tried to introduce one of my closest friends to her brother... it was a whole year into our friendship too. They were in completely different friend groups for me so I had never seen them together and I'd never been to his house, I mean obviously I had, but I'd never been to visit him and every time I'd gone to visit her he was out or in his room the whole time! It was very embarrassing to try and introduce them... It took me a while to even realise they weren't joking when they said they were siblings!!!
Thank you for sharing this story! That is so crazy to me but I guess nothing is impossible haha
One thing to consider it romance books which cross into different genres like romance suspense or romance mystery

I was so ready to pick up Heartless Hunter. I like witchy stories if they aren’t too dark. But I checked and this hits 7 trigger warnings. Three of them are absolute no-goes for me. 😮
Live and Let Chai was a cute story. I’m looking forward to your review of this one. I will be starting the July book in this series today.

What’s your favorite cozy mystery?
My priority TBR for August is Just for the Summer, Summer Romance (want to squeeze in a few more summer reads) Funny Story (for my book club) and True Colors by Kristin Hannah. It's my first Kristin Hannah book and I'm very excited! Also, I loved A Cross Country Wedding. The main characters in that book are probably the most memorable characters that Courtney has written, in my opinion. Like I hope they are still doing ok, to this day 😂

I love cozy mystery try moving is murder by Nellie Steele. It’s cute! Also cottage by the Sea by Debbie Macomber.

I read “Before I Let Go” the beginning of this year and gave it a high 4⭐️…I’m actually reading the second book “This Could Be Us” in August and heard it is even better than the first one. Can’t wait to hear what you think😊

The Women was great!! I really want to read Foxglove, Heartless Hunter, and Before I Let Go, I’ve heard great things about them. Some books on my August TBR include Song of Achilles, Pachinko, Stone Blind, Remarkably Bright Creatures, and Parable of the Talents 😊

I do the same thing😂 go in blindly and don’t read the synopsis until a quarter or more into the book😂😅

That’s what I keep hearing! Everyone’s getting me so excited about it!
I finished Before I Let Go a few days ago and gave it 5 stars. I am not a romance girlie so I wasn’t super excited about reading it but there was so much hype around it that I had to give it a chance. It turned out to be so good and I loved the couple. Check trigger warnings because there’s some heavy topics in the book and it’s very SPICY 🌶️.

The Women was so special to me! Then again, I was a small child/preteen during the Vietnam war and my older brothers had to go into the lottery system for recruitment. I won't say anymore... but perhaps going in blind and not lived through it would make it special for you too with fresh eyes.

@@Jordan_elaine well I might be a more generous reviewer than most. Although, I think with cozies it's hard to find a five star when reading the first book in the series because the first books tend to have a lot of world, building/fluff 😁 like one of my favorite series, the magical bakery mysteries, I rated the first book 4 stars. I rated the first book in the Wishcraft Mysteries 5 stars (gave me I dream of Genie vibes) and the first book in the Witch City Mysteries series 5 stars.
@@Jordan_elaine I also gave Death Overdue by Allison Brook 5 stars... But that might be closer to a 4.5 the main character can be a tad frustrating. I'm sure there are others but I can't remember.
@@Rainydayscozyreads my friends who love cozies told me the same thing that it’s hard to find a 5⭐️ with the first book. I have a few series I’m eager to continue so maybe I’ll try to get to them soon

I’m planning to read It starts with us before the movie comes out of It ends with us. I want to read the full story of Colleen Hover before I see the movie adaptation. I also plan to read The Husband Secret by Liane Moriarty before that movie comes out Labor Day weekend.
