what made Charlie Watts stand out among the other is other rockstars chucks TV out of windows while Charlie almost chucked his frontman out of the window.
i'm finding it interesting that when i was young I liked the Beatles more . . . when i got into my late 20's i started liking the Stones more . . and it's kept growing since then. The blues really has me.
@@alysmarcus7747Same with me here. Never really got into the Stones firsthand while I liked Beatles from the start (I am 40 so I discovered both long after their releases). But meanwhile I think everything from Aftermath (1966) to Goats Head Soup (1973) is just brilliant.
Get with it! That song is epic! Gaslight and underrated, oh and shan’t forget ‘woke’, apparently are words that can’t be googled because no one can define them!
Rediscovered Can't You Hear Me Knocking (again) after hearing it used in a couple of shows. The Stones never fail to hook you on the opening riff and carry you off on their iconic R&B dirty rock jams. Just one of the many reasons they are so great.
Esta melodia la tubo mi padre en los anos 73 74 ennuna sinfonola en disco de 45 rpm. Acetato, el ya murio hoy yo tengo 69 anos y fue como si fuera ayer.
The Rolling Stones could be arguably be one of the best rock bands ever to exist they aren’t my favorite but I like them they just got so many hits and still making records
Ever since hearing this in the movie CASINO by Marty S , this song is simple but SO powerful. it can really drive a scene and emotion but also keep moving and moving and going and going and it has that rhythm that it's just one of those songs that can keep going, and you can kind of keep stretching it out and it still sounds fresh even if you're playing it after I don't know: 10 , 20 , 30 minutes. like so cool. Great song man. Far out, groovy.
Young Mick Taylor always reminds me of the Jamie character ("I wish we had time to bury them fellas") played by Sam Bottoms in The Outlaw Josey Wales for some reason. Mick Taylor is one of the greatest guitarists of our time and the Rolling Stones collectively have always mesmerized me with their music. R.I.P. Charlie boy. Your drumming will be immortal on vinyl, tape, digital, etc...until the end of time. Bless you all.
I never really understood Keith Richards skill as a “riff-master” until I realized how many stones songs have these iconic and unforgettable riffs like this song and many other stones songs. The combination of Richards with Mick Taylor, who could solo with any rock guitarist, made this iteration of the stones the best. Led Zeppelin did not need two guitarists as page could write an amazing riff and solo better than anyone in the Rock world. Townshend to a lesser extent did similarly in The Who, although he could not reach the heights jimmy page did.
Charlie is the real hero of this jam. Honestly once you get through the first few chops Charlie drives this like kieth once drove his old leftover tank parts ride he flipped
@@denisliber6740You don't know much about Mick Taylor-- He essentially played on the 6 best Stones albums namely-- Let it Bleed, Exile on Main St, Sticky Fingers, Goats Head Soup, It's Only R+R, Get Yer Ya Ya's Out--- He formerly played in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers band, and is rated No#37 All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine----
It’s their 1969 concert at MSG in New York. A tour of USA ending at Altamont. It became legendary. There is a great book about this tour called THE TRUE ADVENTURES OF THE ROLLING STONES,by Stanley Booth
Hmm 🤔 interesting he’s not even the most important member of the band yet in that film 🎥 they decided to leave most of the camera work focused on Charlie 😐 Makes one wonder what others think sometimes 😅
Hey bro! I'm going to react to this upload on a seriously dead/archive channel I have that I just used for my former channel that Bobby Whitlock of Derek and The Dominos false copy/stiked overnight. He only got me for two, but my Live Aid tell-all already had one from a copyright troll. So please be kind. No DMCA. It's basically a way for me to stay sane with music lighting my way. Peace.
I think they tried in early '71 like February in a small club in London (the Marquee?) and they didn't do it well live. A little before they left for the south of France. Didn't try it again until like 2005, with Mick Taylor onstage. Corrections and more accurate info welcome.
Coolest riff in rock history
Greasiest riff ever.
it is pretty bada$$
it is .it is the stones
Hell yeah it is! Just learned how to play it last night. Feel like there’s no where else to go now
This riff is its own solar system. Completely unique n unlike anything else. "Hey, Keef, has Mick got any more o' those marshmallows?!"
The Stones were still going strong up until Charlie Watts passed and to me that's an outstanding accomplishment. 👏👏
we love you forever Mr Charlie Watts you will make generations to come happy
what made Charlie Watts stand out among the other is other rockstars chucks TV out of windows while Charlie almost chucked his frontman out of the window.
To be referenced the way he was in a song like Slow Turning by John Hiatt was a very nice gesture to honor Charlie as the icon he is...👍
I love the Beatles AND the Stones... don't know why people make it a competition...

Rocked out to this one many times in the 70’s. Great times!
Drummer Charlie Watts
I love you, brother… I miss you so much. 💯💙🥰
Bobby Keys rocked that sax!
That guitar riff will always b awesome. Very Underrated song!
My favorite by The Stones.
Nobody considers it underrated idiot
There’s that word again…
( No, it isn’t!)
If you combine the various views from the 50 or more uploads of the studio version it's into the hundreds of millions. Underrated?
Get with it!

There’s no arguing about it, bub. Not sure anyone would disagree with that assertion. They are quite literally one of the defining rock n roll bands.
Good ol’ fashioned British Rock n Roll… great stuff!
Why so much film coverage of Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts? Mick Taylor and Bobbie Keyes are the ones who are more deserving.
Because the video is just playing the beginning of the documentary Gimme Shelter (1970). The live performance in the footage is “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
Completely outrageous song
Fuckin rhythm baby
That Sax though... Sick af
the stones are the greatest rock and roll group in the history of rock
This song is off Sticky Fingers.
Still listening to it in 2024.
wild riff straight to my brain
this song always makes me think of "blow"
Casino
Absolutely, opening scene!
So bluesy. Love their funkiness
Even after all this time Keith Richard might be my favorite of them all
The riff master himself
Love this song! Rock n blues great guitar riffs. Groovin to this !

Micks hip thrusts ha! oooof! 😍 I LOVE this band!!!

Looks like it's from the Altamont concert, some from the documentary is at the beginning.
I loooooove this song!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mick Taylor pure & sublime. But then, that's him, pure class.
And even more incredible he was only 20 when he joined The Stones. I cant get my head around that!
DUDE Stones at their very best!!!!!!! LET IT ROLL!
Loved this in the movie Blow
Man, this is soo great.
Superb !! Greatest band ever!!
Just need a museum

But page got a shitload of “inspiration” 😂 so you really have no argument
Page was the weakest big name guitarist of that era.
@@AndrewSwinneycouldn't disagree more. Page is the greatest guitarist of all time

The theme song of ‘Casino’, ‘Goodfellows’, ‘Blow’.

Keith fuck Richards!!! Great Riff""

I think, to borrow from Mark Twain, "news of Mick Taylor's demise is greatly exaggerated." Mick Taylor is not dead. At least not as of 10/12/24.
Well if this isn't the sexiest riff I've ever heard...
Discazo enorme!!
Well done Sonny....
