Diwan Purnaiah was never faithful to the Wodeyar Dynasty of Mysore. He was a stooge of Tippu. He was a brahmin brought from Karur, Tamilanaadu. After Tippu died, he sided with the heirs of his late master, when the British rised the question of to whom the throne of Srirangapattana to be given, he argued in favor of children of Tippu. But the prudent British chose the meek and mild Hindu king and rejected the claim of the peaceful sultan's sons. This is real history.
Krsnadevaraya was never the founder of Vijayanagar empire, was only the penultimate king of Hampi. Neither he wrote Aamuthamalyada. The kavya was only dedicated to him by a court poet, as it was in vogue those days.
