But it’s about this one trick that will make you better at counting subdivisions, which will make you have better time, which will make you a better musician. Which is the whole point, right? So feel free to skip this one. Unless you want to be a better musician.

Reminds me of my school experience: some of the most boring lessons turned out to be the most useful !

Hands down the most useful video I've perused in a long time - NOT boring. I guess it is a question of age. Teacher attempted to explain this to a teenage me back in the days. Went straight above my head. Thanks for taking the time to produce this video, Kai.

As someone who has played music professionally and taught for 40 years (and who has been rhythmically challenged for a good portion of that time), I don't think it was dry or boring at all. I codified what I knew and I learned something new as well. Thanks

i think i everytime your not talking, like when your counting and play guitar you slowed the speed to least half the speed and repeated it at least 5 times for each example that would help alot

Kai, why is there black tape on your guitar? Thanks for the boring, but necessary video!

This guitar has a two-piece golpe and my thumb was making a bit of a divet in the top. Normally I'd have taken it to a guitar maker friend, but pandemic... So black tape for now until I can get it fixed properly.

Although I have been studying some of the music theory by myself because I want to understand music better,
I didn't find the review and suggestions boring at all.

Suck it up. Funny. I have to do the stuff that makes the vein on my head start to throb, but in the end it pays off. I remember when learning "Blackbird" made me crazy. Why, i don't know. Now it seems laughable. Thanks for the great info Kai.

You're welcome Art - I always say that if you're brain doesn't hurt you're probably not really learning :)
