when you were talking about parry/riposte window on lantern shield. its not a flat timer. the time you have to activate the riposte animation is based on the difference between your Impact resistance and their impact power. In other words your riposte window is your recovery window after a successful block. you can really notice the difference when fighting 1h vs 2h weapons. Blocking lets say an arming sword will give you a very small window, but blocking a bardiche gives you a large window. in these instances the arming sword has 3 impact power and the bardiche has 5 impact power. because the lantern shield has 5 impact resistance(not 100% sure on the exact impact resistance, but it feels very similar to the heater shield in terms of block recovery times) it limits the range of weapons in which you can reliably activate a riposte against your opponent.

Yes this I understood, a lot of longsword players were saying it was a very difficult parry riposte. This must be because longswords is only 3 right. So, I assume it hasn't been changed

I agree, this would go crazy hard with smite + divine strike... Bard seems sooo strong already too. This shield gives them another interesting option.

if you're curious about this game don't waste your time, it's plagued with cheaters and they just made it free to cheat. the community manager is a toxic baby who will ban you from the community for suggesting they add a formal way for you to report their discord mods for inability to fulfil their duties as a mod. the dev team are horrible at their jobs and there is constant downtime due to bad patches that weren't tested going live. the people that paid $50 for the hold the line edition of the game to support the development of the game got a massive middle finger when they gave test server access to the base $35 edition users with no compensation other than a massive middle finger! unless you like games where 90% of people are cheating i suggest you don't bother with this hot mess
Wait, were you the one in onepegs chat today? Look, I respect your opinion and understand you may have gone through hell within your experience with dark and darker. I'll leave this here as you may find others who agree with you. However, I disagree and enjoy the game. I really hope whatever issues you had with mods/community managers don't happen to someone else.
@@WilsonsGame i wasn't in peg's chat but i did comment on his recent vid pretty much the same sentiment... i'm doing what i can to spread the word of my experience so other people don't waste their time with a game/community that will just delete you if they don't like your opinion. when i had a bad experience with 2 tavern masters and wanted to report their sub par service, i got referred to an admin. admin never responded so i messaged graysun and suggested there should be a way to report bad mods and he just banned me from the discord. actual toxic child behaviour after i supported them buying hold the line and played since PT #1.
