Seems I overlooked the fact that Facet of Protection doesn't work inside of PvP. So I instead would run facet of Awakening to build back that grenade energy when you have that strand Traveler's Chosen. Sorry about that!
I think having 100 recov, 100, disc, and 100 strength is more important for this build than mobility. I was waiting a while for the smoke nades when I already had my grapple, didn't really want to dodge that much
Debuffs with a fragment, cant remember which one, will give you skewed damage. Since you have a grapple and void debuff from grapple and a smoke bomb, it's taking either or
So all testing was done with a control, meaning no fragments or artifact mods where equipped. You'd get the 10 damage for the initial grapple contact, then two 70's for the 150 total grapple melee, but then would sometimes get an extra 70-75 damage after melee contact.
The part that doesn't make sense is that it either insta-killed and applied that detonation damage from the snare bomb, or it didn't and you die to the tick damage. I tested this for awhile and couldn't consistently recreate it. Like I said in the video, for some reason if I was already airborne it worked more often. But IDK if there is some type of background number crunching with momentum or something from the grapple melee taking over.
@xXWH1TEW01FXx could very well be. I use the wombo combo smoke/swarm but people are catching on quick and blinking out of it. I might have try out the grapple. Looks more fun.

If you hit them into a wall I've noticed that the smoke bomb will get pushed into the wall. You also have to make sure your almost level with the player before hitting the melee button or you will just swing and not hit center mass or sometimes even miss.

I dodge all the time. So, getting my smoke back as no issue. I was always waiting for the grapple. But tune your stats to your play style.

Some other people said it was just Lag...so who knows, it works and is fun AF lol

Not many people have covered it yet. So, I made a build around the mechanic.
I'm pretty sure whenever it says combatants is not effective in pvp battles. So radiant doesn't do anything either.
Radiant 100% works in both PVP and PVE. But the bonus is different. 25% weapon buff in PVE, and 10% in PVP.
Does facet of protection work in PVP I thought it was combatants only??

Why do direct hits sometimes just yiff and barely do any damage?
If you hit them into a wall I've noticed that the smoke bomb will get pushed into the wall. You also have to make sure your almost level with the player before hitting the melee button or you will just swing and not hit center mass or sometimes even miss.

facet DOES work in pvp
Are you sure? If it does, then its only maybe 5% not the 15% you get in PVE.
