Great Video - Very Helpful 👍🏽
I'm concerned about black and brownouts this summer. So I'm studying and prepping now.
Next up ... I'll practice turning off my power 🔋 and see how I fair. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Practice... such a great idea. I did this with a system I built back in 2015, and it really does help.

Our small solar array came in handy when the power went out a few weeks ago. But we learned our fuse for the inverter was 150 amp and kept kicking out on the microwave. Learned all this figuring out is hard. We have the option of pulling our 600 watt solar on our van up to the house and throw a line to use. But simplicity tells me maybe something portable might be in order. Will keep investigating and waiting for your next videos.

Bluetti and Ecoflow have some great units. Both are coming out with new stuff soon. Keep an eye out. Im getting the Ecoflow Delta Pro with the extra battery. It comes out on kickstarter in a couple weeks.

I greatly appreciate your detailed info on this. I try hard to understand but I do have a learning disability.. very hard to comprehend and retain. I do have an idea that 'might' make things easier when trying to figure out how much we use or will need from a generator without getting tools and going thru so many steps. I'm with NVEnergy in Las Vegas and have my account and usage online for many years. I can view my kilowatt hours and usage for whole house by day and compare. What it doesn't tell me is actual watts used, that I can find at least. I'm trying to get an idea of what I use overall and what size generator. I can't help but think I'm very close to knowing the info I would need. I could even simulate for a couple of days my emergency needs by just using those things and tracking the kwhrs using their usage tool online. I'm just not sure of how to convert into watts and then figure out how much generator I'd need. I've watched so many videos and with yours I'm closer to knowing but I'd prefer not to buy all the little tools although I do have the kilowatt reader you use. Thanks again for such detailed info. I'll have to watch them several times again but I can't help but feel many people are very close to knowing what they need just by using their power companies online account tools?

Your total electrical use will likely include hvac and high demand dryer etc... (220 or 240). You will need a pretty large generator to handle that. If you dont plan to run high demand items on a gen, then knowing the total usage may not be so helpful. Multiply kilawatt hours by 1000 to get watt hours.
