The K1 was on for $85 after tax for cyber Monday - ordered one and have been watching all related content while I wait for it to ship. Was nice to find some local Ontario footage - I'm in Kingston... I can't wait to get mine. An awesome little trip, and you've got a sub from me. Even though you caught far more fish than I do on a typical day and I'm not jealous for sure. PS: you definitely need a pair of needle-nose pliers - especially running dual treble hooks. One of my biggest fears on any trip is getting a hook embedded, especially with a big flopping pike on the other end.... No thanks. Hope the wife wasn't too mad you were out too late! Haha cheers.
Awesome!! You won’t be disappointed!! I have really enjoyed the K1. You are correct, needle nose pliers are definitely the way to go! I have a few more kayaking videos coming out from this Summer and I hope to get to Charleston Lake or Frontenac areas next Summer. Cheers and thx for the sub!!
@cruisingjacksonrose7008 I'm planning on doing a week or so around Frontenac next year as well.. hoping to get into the couple brook trout lakes and catch my first one. There is also Garter Lake (crown land) near the east side of the park that contains rainbows so I plan on checking that out too.
Good afternoon! I liked the video and I think your reel is beautiful. I am Brazilian and I have an American-made reel, I bought it in 1997. I would like to know the make of your reel, there is another thing, the American mechanics are excellent. Thank you! Jorge Francisco R. de Oliveira
Hey, thx for checking me out. I have had the reel for 30 yrs and it’s just about worn out finally. It is a Shimano Sienna 2000. Not very expensive but durable. Cheers!

@ nice! I definitely need to get into some trout action!
500 metre portage. I've done it many times.
You are correct. Not sure why 800m was stuck in my head?
