Towards the end of my career, I worked at an armory that had a contingent of “SMURFS”
SMRs.
To all you haters out there, these are VOLUNTEERS! They have VOLUNTEERED to help YOU! They mostly work for FREE!
Many of the senior SMRs are active duty veterans and or retried combat veterans.
Have some respect for the good people who are only there to try and help you out a little.

What all happens at the cab meps I’ve tried contacting people on Facebook and the site I’m gonna try to move to California late this year or early next year hopefully

Can you join the CSG if you have a history of anxiety from 6 years ago but don't take any meds or anything anymore?
I had a prior med use from 2 years ago, just passed MEPS.
I’m no longer on Meds for anxiety, you can do it give it a shot.

Recruiting won't answer anyone, amd there's talk that General Beavers disbanded all operational units, and has imposed civil air patrol style unfiroms.. if this true? I wanted so badly to come back and continue servie, but it looks like the CSG is gone for good. Please let me know how the CSG is doing

Does anybody check emails for the recruitment emails. Seems like mine have gone unread because I still never got a response back. Been trying to inquire about joining. Former army. Honorable discharge. 13f. Spc rank. Wanted to see steps to joining. What jobs are available/specific mos’. Is there an active status for guards if they chose to work for more then the drill weekend? Ty
Me aswell, battle buddy. There are many prior service soldiers like you and I who would love to join the best state guard in the country, the CSG. Unfortunately the CSG is being attacked by the current administration, they are trying to get rid of it. BUT DONT GIVE UP. If we prior service flood the ranks of the CSG like the floods the CSG operates in, we just might turn this around. At this time the NGB and the Adjutant General of California's are attempting to completely erase the CSG, firing several hundred Calfire trained CSG soldiers, on the eve of California's fire season. They even got rid of the Special Operations Detachment, the Military police units, and search and rescue. I'm prior service and I also served in the CSG, hoped to return.. but between biden and General Beavers, the CSG is being destroyed for the sake of wokeleadership's feelings.. Don't give up.
Oh, to answer your question, when I was in the CSG, yes there were active SAD positions from the CMD for base security.. however, I havnt seen any TAD job postings from the CMD since General Beavers took office...
@@MisterMemeDude awesome. I’ll keep trying to figure out how to join while researching and staying up to date of the situation of the CSG. Are they allowed to disband the CSG though when the CSG was founded on the basis that it was a “militia” and not technically operated by the government. Although I know times changed and we do fall under cali governor. How is it possible to terminate the CSG when every state has their state militia?
@user-he7wg8th6c the CSG is the militia officially integrated into the California national guard. When I was in the CSG we had ac ess to all the same equipment, trucks, rifles, communications, as the CSG expeess misdion is to replace national guard forces ehen they are deployed over seas. With the National guard deployed in war time, the CSG takes their place as a domestic military emergency response force. It is governed by title 32 USC , meaning state military forces answering only to the governor, which means the general Beavers and the NGB are over stepping their authority. Title 10 USC is federal military forces answering to the president. The national guard is both title 10 & 32 USC, which means the NGB and General Beevers are title 10 usc over stepping their authority. The governor has the highest authority over title 32 usc military forces, such as governor Greg Abbot sending his state guard to the border with the national guard. How, Newsom is in bidens pocket and doesn't seem to care what happens to the CSG, despite the fact the he is the one who benefits the most from having an entire military force solely under his control. If you'd like to know more, there's a great article I'll post here , they bassae how powerful the title 32 state guard is guarding the border in texas, and realized it it a great tool for border security that the federalgovernmenthas ZERO control over , there fore, if they cannot federalize it, they want to get rid of it. If the CSG doesn't come back, the Georgia SDF is basically identical, as well as the Texas State Guard. What is the update on the current administration's attempted disintegration of the CSG? Guardians have fought wild fires for 107 years, but Biden, seeing the Texas State Guard capabilities in border security has ordered the disintegration of Title 32 Guard forces, starting with the tip of the spear, the CSG. It is staggering just how little the CSG is valued by the state it has so loyaly served since 1917. Gen. Beaver has disbanded all wildland firefighting crews, SOD, SAR, & wants the CSG to wear civil air patrol uniforms.. reducing the CSG to an JROTC program, like what they did to the USCG AUX.. this is NOT the answer. Firing several hundreds of CSG CALFIRE trained fire fighters on the eve of fire season proves that this administration does not even remotely care about California, let alone the contributions of the CSG. Even my fellow Californians make fun of it, not knowing the vast majority of CSG are veterans of title 10 forces..
Honestly i think a joint training between boy scouts' high adventure crews and the CSG would be enlightening, because effectively both orgs have similar parts. also, if CSG defense bonds are issued i would like to buy some lol
