I remember walking back to York station after blatantly strolling round 50A and hearing a streak chime whistle whilst in the tunnel under the ecml And running like the clappers back to the station. Just to look at it in awe, admiration and yes, love. East coast Pacifica were my friends and to this day (May 2022) I can name every A1,3,4 with ease.
Meanwhile, in 1992 climbing into a 141 bendy bus to work the first Huddersfield to Leeds, sat in my back cab reminiscing at all the lost sheds along the way. Memories for life hey. Best thing about Regional Railways = Yer mates
