I'd try checking carefully all the connections again from the book and pressing down tightly the potentiometer while you are turning the board over. That worked for me at least...I hope it helps!
I am bit OCD when it comes to crossed wires over breadboard. 1:47 - is there some known reason why it has to be like that Arduino pins 5, 4, 3, 2 connect in order to DB4, DB5, DB6, DB7? Would it be ok and without any damage if I would adjust the code to make the wiring more soothing? the CODE LiquidCrystal lcd(12, 11, 2, 3, 4, 5); the wiring - Arduino UNO pins to LCD 5, 4, 3, 2 connect in order to DB7, DB6, DB5, DB4
If your LED lights up, but does not display anything, recheck all of your circuits. I had the same problem and, after checking each one, noticed that I'd accidentally mis-connected the ground meant for the potentiometer to an empty row. I believe this resulted in the LED not getting the signal to increase the brightness, thus not showing any text. You can also try using the Serial to check for inputs from the tilt sensor and other variables.
was really helpful especially because the version from the book didn't work

the CODE
LiquidCrystal lcd(12, 11, 2, 3, 4, 5);
the wiring - Arduino UNO pins to LCD
5, 4, 3, 2 connect in order to DB7, DB6, DB5, DB4
I am the biggest fan of Arduino
there was no 220 ohm resistor included in my starter kit
its the blue one
It depends on if you had a 4-band or 5-band resistor
This damn tilt sensor is an utter piece of garbage and doesn't work for nothing the pins are to short to allow a proper connection.
Yeah it's disappointingly short-legged. Basically you need to have some extra legs carefully soldered in...
👍👍👍Great video 👏
Can i do the same project with a i2c LCD Display ?
same question
How I buy the book
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice
Love you Arduino
This literally just does not work
I cant get my lcd screen in the arduino
