      Not unless Dad secretly owns Wurth. :D Do you think that is the brand for the one in the video? The affiliate link I provided in the description links to the Yontree brand, at the time it looked pretty close to the one that I was using. This video is pretty old, but is really the main reason why I started doing "New Tool Day Tuesdays". I got a lot of folks messaging me who said they had never seen a tool like it. :D Do you know of any interesting tools that could use a good honest review? I'm always looking for ideas!

    and to think, i was a truck mechanic for 25 yrs and probably ruined more impact guns at 600 a pop over the yrs...not ruined but definitely put yrs of wear onto them.....then i see this tool...too late for me though but i was definitely intrigued......if only I had seen this yrs ago, it would have saved me hundreds of hours removing lugs...what a great idea

    For the first time in my life I don't have access to a 1" impact gun. I retired and bought a bus motorhome with 22.5" wheels. Someone did not clock the wheels properly so I could not check the inner rear tire air pressure. When I tried to remove the lug nuts with my 3/4" ratchet and a 5' cheater pipe they would not budge. After watching your video I ordered the same tool you have. Even though I had to use my 3/4" ratchet on the tool because the lugs were so tight. The tool however it held up to the seriously over torqued lug nuts. The little crank handle included was just not enough leverage. I am impressed with the tool if you have a big motorhome like I do you seriously need this tool,,,

I had no idea what it was so I searched RUclips and found your excellent post. I love the tool, but I can't imagine investing $200 when for that I could simply buy a longer stretch of cheater pipe to increase the leverage. In any event, thanks for the video!

    I thought I was buying a tork multiplier online once because it was such a good price. It turned out to be a fraudulent seller. Amazon gave me my money back. I hadn't read the reviews; I usually do that. So I would still like one😊 to keep in my old 3/4 ton pickup. Those 8 bolts sure get stuck on there between wheel removals.
    Great demo. Thanks

    I’ve wanted one but I’m a shade tree mechanic so hard to justify. Wednesday though I was replacing struts and shocks on a 2010 Xterra and imo a professional mechanic put those lower bolts on so frickin tight it was ridiculous. In your opinion do you think I could have “placed” that tool someway on the lower bolts? I appreciate your opinion since I can’t place it in place to see. I made an extension with a breaker and two more long extensions and also use a bottle jack on a ratchet. Ha. Yes, the ratchet did not bend permanently but it did curve during the process. Thanks for your response. Roger

      Yes! I broke all five free with it. Didn't pay attention to the noise. Talked to a mechanic last night about these and he said they have been around for many years. He use to use them on heavy equipment and also said he was always amazed at how easy they would take off stuck nuts. Absolutely little effort to break them free.

    • @omsirut
      @omsirut 3 года назад +3

      I think the Crack noise comes from having a breaker bar loaded and bending, once the nut loosens, it "catches up" to the breaker bar. This just turns it slowly with a lot of force. You could probably get this to crack if the nut was super stuck and you used a longer handle then the one provided.

      I don't think I'd use it to tighten a nut on. I have always tightened lug nuts in a star pattern with a lug wrench, by hand, and have never had an issue with them working loose (of course always making sure to run the pattern at least 3 times before ringing the nuts one last time to make sure I'm not getting any more movement).
      However, for breaking them loose? Yeah, this thing looks wonderful. Might bring it out to my job, too. Bolting and unbolting all sorts of things is a major part of what I do, and I think I'd feel more comfortable with something that is hand-powered as opposed to the pneumatic and hydraulic tools I have to use right now.

The "but" part is that you're going to be applying a very low torque that would probably be below the working range of your torque wrench. Might have to get creative....got a fish scale and a ruler?

      Right! And you could also use heat! Sometimes you just need brute force and in this case if you brake a stud it's just not a big deal. (Unless your on the side of the road, that is a different story)

    Must be a compensated endorser...just got mine and it's a complete piece of trash. Doesn't work in the least. Crank it too much and you might break an arm

      I wish I was compensated! It was given to me as a gift from a family member. What are you using it on? Any chance you're using it backwards on left-handed lug nuts?

    • @1D10CRACY
      @1D10CRACY  3 года назад

      Typically you're going to use one of these after you've already tried using heat, it's more of a last resort type thing and at this point if you break a stud, no big deal, you put a new stud in it. Just like a cocked gun, you have to be smarter than the gun.

      They do make some torque multipliers with a handle that you can hold to oppose the turning of the multiplier

      Kyl3dr
      I agreed with kly3dr, take note Amazon is the best place to buy a Torque Multiplier for about $250 US, most other sites they start at $1,600+ I believe the brand is Neiko.

    You need to invest in some new wheels. Split rims went out in 1970

      Interesting enough these wheels are off of a 1970 Winnebago that I'm trying to keep original. And here is how I deal with split rings. ruclips.net/video/8UFvWt8OqTc/видео.html

    Useless for sunken bolts....

    • @jamiepitts3389
      @jamiepitts3389 3 года назад

      I thought that too, but you could probably make it work if you were desperate. I'm thinking extension and something solid for the tool to rest on as he used in the video. But large enough to hold the whole tool and stop arm. A movable table with adjustable could suffice, better yet if it has a vice mounted on it. Desperate times....

    • @JAB1978
      @JAB1978 3 года назад +2

      You can put an extension on it and somwhow rig a brick or Jack under the arm so it won't turn. Use your imagination. The tool itself works, and he never showed it on a sunken bolt because most aren't heavily over torqued that a breaker bar won't bust loose. Wss designed for heavy duty trucks, RVs and semis

    • @1D10CRACY

      Its tough to show, as even as stuck as these nuts were, it just looked like they were loose with this tool. The magic of mechanical advantage is pretty impressive. I encourage you to do a video of your own and show one off! Also I'd like to apologize for deleting your other comment, this channel automatically filters out cuss words and we also don't allow substitutions. Just trying to keep it family friendly! Thanks for the comment, take care!
