Not unless Dad secretly owns Wurth. :D Do you think that is the brand for the one in the video? The affiliate link I provided in the description links to the Yontree brand, at the time it looked pretty close to the one that I was using. This video is pretty old, but is really the main reason why I started doing "New Tool Day Tuesdays". I got a lot of folks messaging me who said they had never seen a tool like it. :D Do you know of any interesting tools that could use a good honest review? I'm always looking for ideas!

For the first time in my life I don't have access to a 1" impact gun. I retired and bought a bus motorhome with 22.5" wheels. Someone did not clock the wheels properly so I could not check the inner rear tire air pressure. When I tried to remove the lug nuts with my 3/4" ratchet and a 5' cheater pipe they would not budge. After watching your video I ordered the same tool you have. Even though I had to use my 3/4" ratchet on the tool because the lugs were so tight. The tool however it held up to the seriously over torqued lug nuts. The little crank handle included was just not enough leverage. I am impressed with the tool if you have a big motorhome like I do you seriously need this tool,,,
So here I am, nuts stuck in a chain link fence, cruising through RUclips, and I stumble across the thumbnail for this video. My nuts are still suck in the fence but this is a great tool.
Advance Auto Parts popped up an advert today showing their Esco Equipment Ez Buster Torque Multiplier for sal at $209. I had no idea what it was so I searched RUclips and found your excellent post. I love the tool, but I can't imagine investing $200 when for that I could simply buy a longer stretch of cheater pipe to increase the leverage. In any event, thanks for the video!
About to remove the castle/crown nut on rear of an old VW brake shoes assembly and bought this kit. I like the way you use the jack stand to parallel the tool to the ground which def could slip. Good tip.
I thought I was buying a tork multiplier online once because it was such a good price. It turned out to be a fraudulent seller. Amazon gave me my money back. I hadn't read the reviews; I usually do that. So I would still like one😊 to keep in my old 3/4 ton pickup. Those 8 bolts sure get stuck on there between wheel removals. Great demo. Thanks
Fully convinced that I need one. I have an 8.5 Tonne Yacht on a trailer where one of the rims broke. Nuts are so tight I broke a 1/2" extension bar even after heating with a Oxy / Acet Torch.
liked and subscribed..I've broken two heavy-duty breaker bars and am trying to remove lug nuts. I need this product for an old panel van I bought...Thanks so much for this info
I’ve wanted one but I’m a shade tree mechanic so hard to justify. Wednesday though I was replacing struts and shocks on a 2010 Xterra and imo a professional mechanic put those lower bolts on so frickin tight it was ridiculous. In your opinion do you think I could have “placed” that tool someway on the lower bolts? I appreciate your opinion since I can’t place it in place to see. I made an extension with a breaker and two more long extensions and also use a bottle jack on a ratchet. Ha. Yes, the ratchet did not bend permanently but it did curve during the process. Thanks for your response. Roger
Yes! I broke all five free with it. Didn't pay attention to the noise. Talked to a mechanic last night about these and he said they have been around for many years. He use to use them on heavy equipment and also said he was always amazed at how easy they would take off stuck nuts. Absolutely little effort to break them free.
I think the Crack noise comes from having a breaker bar loaded and bending, once the nut loosens, it "catches up" to the breaker bar. This just turns it slowly with a lot of force. You could probably get this to crack if the nut was super stuck and you used a longer handle then the one provided.
It's legit! Just got mine today and used it break loose the lugs off a rusty 98' ram dually. They all turned loose like they were finger tight (no crack noises) but I assure you (everyone) they were like welded on there trying to use impacts and cheater pipes was futile. This tool is incredible!
Hmm interesting. Coulda used this baby braking loose on the the front axle nuts on my 1997 Cadillac DeVille. I thought I was gonna loose my frontal teeth for a minute LoL! Good Info 👈😎
Are the sockets standard deep well that would work for stuck car mag wheels lug nuts where the socket has to enter into a hollow to reach the recessed lug nut?
are you able to use this for other tasks like suspension, gas tank hardware, steering, basically everything else that could be gorilla torqued and rusty?
Commenting in the future - I wonder how this compares to the new high torque and ultra high torque battery powered impact guns that advertise up to 1,400lbs breakaway
Problem I see, using this on regular SUVs the lug nuts are counter sunken. I’m not sure than what that arm will rest on. I wanted one to travel with on the road in case I couldn’t reach a tow driver.
Can you put an extension on instead of the handle for deep daul rears ? it looks like if you put the extension on the lugnut side the stop wont hit anything.
They pull 40 or more tons because of the torque they produce, not because of their horsepower. The horsepower is there to keep them trucking down the interstate at 80 mph.
Interesting. I've never worked on Isusu trucks. Over here in the states we stopped doing left hand threads back in the 70s. Back then the lugs had a stamped L or R on the end so you knew if it was left or right hand threads.. Thanks for sharing, good to know!
that thing is actually really cool, every women should have one. I have an idea for a geodesic dome frame that requires a very strong bolt system to be implemented for the hubs, this would work just fine. I wonder what the ratios are for it, like how many more foot pounds of torque can you get with a cordless impactor?
the one i ordered is also the 1 58 and says not to exceed 4800nm output. google says thats 3542 ft lbs. so i divided that by the gear ratio and got 61 ft lbs of input. so probably dangerous to do anything harder than hand cranking it.
@@leh3827 i used mine to get the lug nuts off a 1970 ford f600. i broke a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar using 7 foot cheater pipe. i bought a 3/4 drive breaker bar and still failed to remove the nuts. im 250 lbs and me hanging and bouncing on the 7 foot cheater bar didnt break the nuts free. torque multiplier did but barely. i needed the torch and penetrating fluid too.
but will it do other types of torqued nut is what I would like to know for example an axle nut at the end of a cv joint that is torque at 175nm. I know my vehicle has lug nuts torqued at 120 that are easy to take off but the axle nut won't budge.
I don't think I'd use it to tighten a nut on. Yes, but.....the gear ratio of this device is 58:1, so you would divide your torque spec by 58, and use your torque wrench as the "handle". The "but" part is that you're going to be applying a very low torque that would probably be below the working range of your torque wrench. Might have to get creative....got a fish scale and a ruler?
You can tighten it with a torque wrench on some torque multipliers. You have to do math with the torque setting multiplied by the torque multiplication ratio.
@@1D10CRACY you can also put various break free additives on it first. Trying to immediately break loose a corroded connection with brute strength is a very bad idea.

It needs more sizes of hex socket to cover a bigger range of wheel nut types.

Gear reduction for the win.
