Please go easy on meeeee if I cooked something “wrong” or differently 😅❤️ I’m a new chef so bare with me while I figure my way through the kitchen! Hope you enjoyed this video and lmk if you wanna see more easy recipes!
You should try chili leaves if its available instead of pechay ate heart.. Also this made me hungryy😭😭
I usually have ground beef (giniling) in my tortang talong pero I can never keep it in one piece looking all cute 🤣 also, I LOVE tomato & rice. Sometimes I'll have a soft boiled egg + sliced tomatoes for breakfast.
@@ninadezellaa1639 I usually just use spinach in my tinola since it's almost always on hand... Chili leaves sounds like it would be really interesting to try next time though!
I wanna see another one of these with other foods and can’t wait to see you cook or bake for Christmas
You should try adding a tablespoon or two of skippy creamy peanut butter to the champorado to make it extra thick and creamy! And try to use evaporated milk too 🍫😉
I love how different cultures have different types of food. Hispanics have their own champurado and its a drink! Like a thicker hot chocolate for colder weather. 🥰
LOOK AT TARGET SPONSORING A FILIPINO FOODZ VID 💕
They would do it for any other too.
😭😭😭
this is the only “what I eat in a day” video I care about🤎
Wow! This is amazing to see how other cultures cook Eggplants. In the Caribbean we are used to blending the eggplant and making it in a sauce to service with beef chunks over white rice.
Wow that sounds like a recipe i have to try out! Mexican cultures don’t really use eggplant so I find myself making italian recipes when I want to cook with it. I wish we would, I spent almost 20 years never tasting it because my mom wasn’t familiar with it and doesn’t know what to do with it. Eggplants so good tho!
Thank you so much for making this video! My Filipino father and grandparents never taught me how to cook our food. I really needed this in my life
I am just OBSESSED with the dark on you! 😍 Hope you’re having a great day Heart! 💕
Honestly, this video came at the right time cause I just moved to my first ever apartment and found having to cook food for myself. I've been wanting to learn to cook filipino foods but all the recipes i find on the internet are super intricate and hard to follow for someone who has never cooked before. Also i bought an instapot a year ago that i never used, and now i finally get to use it!! Please keep doing these (:
I worked on board tanker ships with Philippino crew and I'll never forget how smiley, friendly, helpful and kind hearted people were. I have sweet memories singing karaoke together, eating some delicious dishes like chicken with lots of onions and garlic, and working was always happier around them. I was an apprentice officer and the Philippino second officer taught me many useful things unlike others who would just let me painting the deck. Wherever you are, Joe, my friend, I hope you're great and I wish you the best ❤
yassss i can eat tortang talong everyday if i had to! i used to ‘grill’ it on my stove too but i hated cleaning the mess so i started boiling the eggplant! sooo much easier and less mess! 💕😊
Wow I’m getting so hungry watching this! ❤️❤️❤️
The husband is hungry, Ate heart 😂
Get u a man who supports ur vids like Arnold 😁
We hope you got some of that food Arnold!! LOL
FINALLY a “what I eat in a day” video that I can relate to!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 except i would have had rice for dinner too because....YOLO! Lol! 🇵🇭
PRO TIP: If you don't have a gas stove or grill, you can bake your eggplant in an oven until the skin is crispy. This makes it super easy to peel off :)
Also, tortang talon with calamnsi and soy sauce is my favorite mmm!
Omggggg so excited to watch this!!! And TARGET YOU HAVE MADE IT WOOOOOW 🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for highlighting our cuisine! It doesn’t get enough love!

Tinola was the first Filipino dish I cooked for my (non Asian) boyfriend. 5 years later - it is STILL his fave! :)
I cook it with a lot of substituted ingredients though, bcoz I don't have a lot of the proper ingredients at my disposal :(
- normal papaya/paw paw (no green ones or sayote available)
- chicken breast fillets instead of actual bone in chicken pieces
- baby spinach (no chilli leaves or bokchoi available near me)
Thank you for this!!!
TORTANG TALONG PLUS BANANA KETCHUP IS DA BEST 🥺✊🏻💕
Bc of you I honestly be craving Filipino foods I've never tasted 😂😭

Me...right here🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️ i love to eat tomatoes like an apple. 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍
Yup, that’s how I cook tortang talong also! I like it without pork giniling. And you really stuck with banana ketchup instead of tomato! Love that combination if there’s no toyo-calamansi.

I was like, Heart pwede ka ng mag asawa but then you're already married so meh! There is no right or wrong way in cooking, as long as you can eat and enjoy what your cooked then that's it. Filipino foods are always that "hearty" so kudos in cooking 3 signature Filipino dishes! I'm hoping next time that you'll make desserts as well.. 😁
bokchoi is the best veggie fr. also now i wanna try all these recipes... greetings dari indonesia!
